Came here for lunch with my brother. Ended up getting the burger (double). It's a little on the messy side, but delicious. Fries were on the thicker side, so if you like thinner ones, be warned. If you feel like a soda, try the Tamarindo & Mango.

Don't waste your time/money. Over priced average food. The old menu before the remodel was better. The service was ok but the food not worth it. The food was an attempt to high end casual style. They shouldn't try so hard to be different. Sometimes the quest to be unique/different overshadows the food itself.

No comparison to the old Pete's Cafe and Bar but this place is pretty yummy. I hear the fried chicken sandwich is GREAT but it's only available during lunch time. The burger is OUTSTANDING! A bit on the pricey side SO WELL WORTH THE QUALITY!!!

They have interesting dishes, but it's pretty hard to taste any of it because they are over-saturated with salt. Seriously, it became unbearable towards the end of the meal. I also found it odd, that when I asked for water, they gave me a lukewarm bottle of water, and then looked at my odd when I asked for ice. A little too pricey for mediocre taste. Will not return.

The star ratings are referring to the OLD Pete's Cafe, prior to remodel/relaunch. Please check out YELP reviews for current info and reviews. NOTE: this is definitely NOT the same restaurant, other than a similar name. Now, the review: Very disappointed - new menu reminds one of "trying too hard" to be edgy, rather than just offering quality food. Prices have doubled. Interior went from relaxing (although yes, it was a bit dark) to again, what looks like a nightclub "trying too hard" to be hip. And what's with the hours? Only open until 11 pm? Really? Pete's used to stay open until 2 and had a decent bar menu, for those who wanted to drop in late for a drink or bite before bed. I'm all for change but what made the restaurant unique was its connections to the history/past of DTLA. All gone now in favor of "hipness", which in 5 years will look dated. NO plans on returning here again. VERY VERY disappointed that we've lost something and got blandness and faux hipster in return. A very sarcastic "Thank You" to the owner who green lit this mess of a re-do. If I could give ZERO stars, I would.

Can't say anything negative about this place. Service and good where great. Downtown dining at its best. A bit creepy bottom floor but adds character and that old LA feel to it. Great place for drinks and a bite

Possibly the WORST food I have ever had the misfortune to put in my mouth. Also, possibly the LOUDEST place I have ever had the misfortune to visit. The person seated next to me could not hear me above the 'roar' of the overcrowded room. Horrible experience.
