The Heathman Restaurant exemplifies the best of the Pacific Northwest using seasonal ingredients inspired by the flavors and cuisine of France. Executive Chef Michael Stanton partners each day with the region’s select growers, producers and vintners to find the highest quality ingredients.

The Heathman Restaurant also offers casual dining in the adjacent Marble Bar and outside at the sidewalk café. Cocktails and live jazz are available in the intimate Tea Court.

Out of this world tasty food. We went at 7 pm on a Saturday night and the whole place was practically empty. The room was very open. Seemed like a fancy sharis. Not a romantic place but great food and service!

I'm not sure where to leave a review for their tea experience, but it was terrific fun. It's essentially prix fixe, and you need reservations. I went with the hubs for my birthday, and for $32/person, you will be stuffed full of delicacies in miniature, including the traditional scones with cream, tiny sandwiches (no crust!), and petit fours. The menu is fixed (select vegetarian vs. not), though you can choose what kind of tea you want. The atmosphere is warm. When we went, there was a baby shower (how fun is that?!) and all sorts of gentlemen with their preteen daughters. Cute, classy, and the acoustics are such that you don't need to worry about noise.

My favorite expensive breakfast. Especially when staying downtown. Hangtown fry is very much worth the pricetag, as are the drinks. Service is always impeccable.

It was not very busy, service pushing and our waiter in the bar gouged us on the bill. I talked to several wait staff friends in high end houses in the Portland area this morning about it, and they confirmed that indeed the waiter gouged us on our bar tab. I went through an exhausting explanation to the waiter about our tab, and though we weren't expecting it, we did have it resolved, but then he was very condescending, and he insulted us. We will not be returning to this establishment that as native Portlanders, we liked to go to now and then. we also found that the Heathman was recently purchased and that the food and the service has been compromised. Good luck to the new owners, word is spreading around town that this is not a good place to go anymore.

Always a lovely experience here. Superior service, amazing cuisine, and incredibly fresh ingredients. Come here for brunch and get the chicken fried steak (I know, a little strange for a fancy place), it's absolutely exquisite and comes out at a perfect medium temperature. Highly recommend

My wife and I went for Father's Day brunch. Our server, Stephanie, was wonderful. The place was full (at 1:30PM!) and yet her service was not only attentive, but exceptional. We had the Lox salmon wrapped grilled asparagus and the sheep's tongue appetizers to start. BOTH were amazing. We were given ample time to enjoy them before our entrees arrived. My wife was blown away by the Oeuf Mollet & Rib Florentine, I had the Bouillabaisse. Both were exceptional. For dessert we had the chocolate trio...the sea salt offsets the rich chocolate perfectly. A wonderful experience, made even more so by an amazing server who never made us feel rushed and, despite how busy it was, had time to answer any questions and check in on things throughout.

First-rate restuarant with quality food, superior service and an extensive wine list. Nothing too inventive on the menu, but what is there is well prepared. Our server recommended an Oregon Pinot Noir that worked with our food and didn't break our budget, and the restaurant comped my oysters when they ran out of the type I selected and had to substitute a couple. A fine choice for an elegant meal.
