The genius that was Robin Williams. 10:00 PM Aust Eastern Time. I've just watched Mrs Doubtfire from end to end for the first time (I've seen bits of it over many showings). His co-stars (Sally Field, Lisa Jakub, Matthew Lawrence, Mara Wilson, Pierce Brosnan, Harvey Fierstein) were totally overshadowed by the power of Williams' acting and his comedic timing. I really enjoyed the movie.

Great looking venue externally and internally. We were close to the stage and the music system. Music was so loud I couldn't hold a conversation with the person next to me. Entree, some glutinous vegetable dish with fetta cheese on top. Visually, unappealing but very tasty. Main alternated Chicken and Beef rib in a sweet spicy sauce (I had the beef). Because of the cut the beef had been long cooked It was tender and juicy but needed the sauce to give it flavour. It was very fatty. It came with a piece of roasted potato and a piece of roasted pumpkin The Potato was just cooked and not crispy at all. The pumpkin was cooked perfectly. Desert was a piece of some sort of slice with a whitish sauce and half a slice of orange. It was inedible. Dry, crumbly and pretty tasteless apart from the cinnamon that permeated it. Had I been in a hotel or a restaurant, the three dishes would have been sent back. Then, I went to visit the men's room and discovered where the smokers went outside to smoke. The door was wide open and smoke blowing back onto the venue. A complaint about that achieved nothing. The staff were obliging and helpful but seemed overworked serving the meals and cleaning up on completion. The supply of soft drinks and water to the tables was good. My experience at The Grand was a disappointment and I could not recommend it as a venue. I will not be returning.

Bought some replacement LED drivers for the old halogen lights on our track-lighting system at home. I got one new one that didn't work and one that flickered. I took them back and got them changed over with no argument. They ordered replacements in for me (I had bought their entire stock) and called when they arrived. It's not their fault if the product was faulty out of the box. As a result of this experience, I have bought more LED lamps from them. I will be advising my Daughter who runs a hair and beauty salon to replace her transformer and 35 watt dichroic MR16s with new transformers and 5 watt cool white LED lights in the work areas and warm white in the waiting room and staff area. I am really impressed with the lights and the service I got from Aussie Lamp World.

Called for information about the $28 Safety check. They were not interested in doing it. I went to Burwood and they were sensational. They are getting the work to make my car safe.
