Old Gits Gallop - Normal Route 24
Old Gits day. With all the rain that has been about, taking the mountain bike out today as the Straberry Line might be a tad muddy.  Taking the normal route. Another puncture! We hadnt gone too far, just over Banwell Hill when George had a front wheel punct...

What a difference a day makes. An inch of rain yesterday, glorious sunshine (although a bit windy) today. Going out towards the Somerset Levels on one of my usual 20 milers. The Nick Another one destined to be sold off. Selling the family jewels I call it. ...

Down to Bridgewater today. Last time this trip was made I caught the train back because of the wind. The plan today is to go there and back by a little roundabout route over the Somerset Levels and back through Highbridge and Burnham on Sea. The Willow Man ...

Great Weston Ride - or - My Tour de France! 56
Well. That was tough! Harder than I thought it was going to be. The ride itself was from Bristol to Weston Super Mare, as you can see on a bit of a rounabout route. Two factors made it tough. The first 20 odd miles were very hilly and meant climbing over th...

Up in Leamington today and met up with two cycling buddies, Mick and Graham. Meeting at Graham's house in Leamington we decided on a route that would take us out to Hatton and the cafe by the locks there. I tried to use the Strava GPS on the phone to record...

Old Gits Day 24
That was a surprise. The forecast was for rain this morning, getting heavy around midday. We all took wet weather gear in our rucksacks and panniers and never saw a drop! In fact, towards the end, about 12, the sun was coming out. There were 11 of us today ...

Weather forecast was rubbish this morning, heavy rain nearly all day. Took the mountain bike, and all the wet weather gear it was possible to carry, and never saw a drop!  It was dull, and a bit windy but just sauntered along enjoying the scenery. The Beach...

A nice easy ride today, a lovely summers day, and after a day off yesterday, a chance to get the legs going after the big one on Sunday. Apart from the odd rail or motorway bridge, this was all flat today. Should have been Old Git's Day today but with jobs ...

A very friendly, well run cafe, perfectly suited for the diverse range of customers, walkers, boaters, cyclists, dog walkers etc. I use this on my cycling trips on a regular basis and would not hesitate to recommend a visit.
