Kathy has used her lens and remarkable eye to capture iconic Adelaide & Surrounds and has used a remarkably iridescent way to highlight these onto Metal.
This amazing process gives a changing pattern of light refraction that at all points can look surreal, whilst at the same time being super realistic in a stunning capture of Adelaide’s history.
Featured are icons such as Hart’s Mill in a panoramic view, The Lighthouse along with Adelaide Oval at night, the Rotunda and Adelaide Bridge.
The newer suburban reach of the Port River and West Lakes are captured in remarkable light of early morning and early evening. The extension of West Lakes, Adelaide’s Western suburban beaches are also presented. Images capturing the essence of Adelaide’s people in candid revelations of life, infrastructure and the sea.
Within this collection Kathy has incorporated her passion for the unique, quirky and bold, and combined it into the Meta print process.
An Exhibition of these works is being staged at the ASSP Gallery Port Adelaide, Shop 3/ 70 Commercial Road in the heart of Historic Port Adelaide.
The public Launch is on the 18th of September at 2pm-6pm and the exhibition concludes on the 30th October 5pm.
Opening times are Sunday and Monday to Friday 12pm to 5pm.
