You may continue to contact us with your tax returns to get a head start on the season. Our systems have been updated with tax law changes made by Congress under the American Taxpayer Relief Act (ATRA).
We will begin accepting returns before the IRS starts to process tax returns. Once the IRS is able to process returns, we will send all the returns to them. We will send you another notice when we are able to being accepting eFile submissions.
Note that the IRS will not be processing paper returns before eFile returns, so eFile is still the fastest way to get a return processed. Also some forms including the Form 4562 may be delayed as late as February or March.

The IRS announced in that gifts to U.S. charity-owned limited liability companies will be tax deductible. Until now, taxpayers had no definitive guidance as to whether a charitable contribution to a LLC owned by a charity would entitle the donor to a charitable deduction, since the LLC was not the charity. In Notice 2012-52, IRS said donations to domestic single member LLCs would be treated as though they were being made to a branch or division of the charity—in other words as though they were made to the charity itself
Among tax provisions that expired at the end of 2011 are the following:
The so-called “AMT patch.” As result, an estimated 27 million more taxpayers are subject to the Alternative Minimum Tax this year.
The deduction for state and local sales taxes. About 11 million taxpayers claimed this deduction last year.
The deduction for mortgage insurance premiums. About four million taxpayers recently claimed this deduction.
A provision allowing persons over age 70-1/2 to make tax-free withdrawals from their Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) to make charitable contributions.
