What a fun challenge for Earrings Everyday! I finally broke into my stash of gemstone pairs for this one. Antelope Canyon and red creek jasper are a perfect match. My latest blog entry: http://cmsdesigns1.blogspot.com/2015/08/we-all-ears-july-reveal.html

Any piece of metal is fair game!

Recently, after recovering from cataract surgery, I was left with eye shields that I no longer needed. They were sitting on my work table, their metal surface shining in the sunlight, when the idea struck me. These babies are metal. I love metal. I work in metal. I must USE the metal! The next thing I knew, my metal shears were doing their job and these earrings resulted. I gave one pair to my ophthalmologist and another to her assistant as a thank you for restoring my vision. The clear blue beads symbolize the clarity of my world now, bright and new. The antiqued pairs remind me of my "old" and yellowed vision. I never want to take this miracle for granted. Here is a link to my blog post.
