It's Day 3, and this is the broccoli casserole you've been waiting for. Or at least it's the one I've been waiting for. Still tasting like broccoli but with none of that bitterness that sometimes comes with the vegetable. Ooooh, and caramelized onions? How can you resist?

I've been cooking for a Soup Swap. Ours was focused on helping a friend feel better, but you could do one with no other purpose at all than to share some great cooking. And while you're at it, show your Valentine some love with this flavorful -- as in really full of flavor -- Provençal Soupe au Pistou.

It's been a Marathon of Sides at my blog. Four great new takes on traditional veggie dishes for Thanksgiving.

A mish-mash -- literally -- of the best the farmers' market has to offer: peaches and tomatoes in a chunky sweet-savory spread you will want to drool over. Just don't actually drool -- it's unseemly.

Day 4, and the end of the marathon. This is a great twist on traditional mashed potatoes, and a healthier option than that big slab of butter (as much as I love butter). And it looks great, too! I'm more than a little grateful to you all -- for stopping by occasionally, for reading the writing and cooking the dishes. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

It's the annual side dish marathon. If you like asparagus, you'll love this one. No cream, just a great asparagus flavor...

Still a few episodes of NCIS to watch as I recover from 42 for dinner. But it's all good: good memories, good leftovers, and a great soup to make for the rogue cold spell now hitting Texas.

I went a little nuts at the farmers' market this week (I know, it's never happened before), and now have enough pesto for... a party!
