Alfonso Duro started his career as a sports journalist over 10 years
ago, working as an online editor for Univision. His passion for sports
has taken him across the full spectrum of media outlets in the US, as he
has worked in some of the most prestigious publications in the country.
He spent two years as a producer and on-air talent at GolTV, before
embarking in the adventure of opening up and establishing ESPN Deportes
Magazine as its executive editor. Among other events he covered the FIFA
2006 World Cup in Germany, NBA Finals '05,'06,'07, Superbowls XL and
XLI, Nascar Championship, US Tennis Open, etc., and interviewed some of
the world's most renowned athletes, like Kobe Bryant, Cristiano Ronaldo,
David Beckham or Pau Gasol. He also hosted a weekend radio show on XM
Radio, and has collaborated with Terra.com, Terra TV, MLSnet.com, Ocean
Drive and Siempre Mujer Magazines, as well as HBO Latino and MSN Latino. He know lives in Brooklyn and works at Google as a Sales Consultant for DoubleClick's ad-serving platform business, and he freelances at Voxxi.com and ESPN Deportes Magazine.
