Hands down the best french onion soup in Los Angeles, and their Calamari is the best I've ever eaten; its hard to find good Calamari cooked to perfection anywhere. The lounge is a perfect, cozy place to take a date and listen to some jazz music when they have it.

This old world style french restaurant is a staple of the local area. Entrées are anywhere from $15-$30 a plate and are all very filling. I was especially surprised by their draft beer selection, with a Belgian sour ale on tap i was extremely pleased. The menu is varied if seemingly missing some staple french dishes. Overall a very good restaurant with abundant seating and banquet space.

I have yet to try their cuisine although the interior is worth visiting if you're looking for ambiance, theme, and small tables for pleasant conversation.

Brilliant place. Our waiter had been there for 50 years. Had a lovely 2002 Haut Medoc which was great. Filet Mignon was nice. $150 for wine, two dinners, two soups, salads, and an appetizer. Very good would go back.

Food is good. Staid old school French. Predictable and wonderful in it's way. It's a part of our New Year's Evening. But the sweet small bar at night now plays crazy loud bad bands better suited for spaces and patrons in the next block. Really bad idea. People left in droves, except for the 10 old hard core band groupees. Fortunately the waitresses keep ear plugs handy.
