Did you know that 80% of the children and families involved in the juvenile court system live in poverty? If a parent can't even afford the train pass to get to counseling, it is hard to make constructive gains. By helping to provide these critical connecting resources, you make positive change possible. "I would like to say thank you for the two gift cards that you gave me for graduation. I was completely overwhelmed with your generosity. I will always remember what One Can Help did for me and I will always try to pay my good fortune forward in life. I hope that my efforts will one day make a difference in the life of another human being" 18 year old girl

ADHD made it difficult for a 10 year old to make friends. A special social skills program was recommended to help him but no funding was available. So his social worker asked if we could help, which we did. Recently the boy wrote us a note that made us all smile: "Thanks for helping me go to this. I am making new friends. I am also getting better at not fighting with friends and with people."

Did you know that many of the parents of kids involved in the juvenile court system, grew up in foster care too? By helping a child's parent with resources that can improve their caregiving, we are helping the children themselves. Most truly love their parents and want nothing more than to live with them.
