Music Monday | Brett Kissel | Sept 2 | CNE Bandshell: Brett Kissel is a 24-year old singer-songwriter who has become the country music story of 2014. From Flat Lake, Alberta, Brett Kissel recently hit the country music scene with his debut album “Started With A Song”. The album is an exhilarating collection of music that can be best described as the ‘new wave of old country’.

Since the release of his album, he has seen two of his music videos reach No. 1 on CMT, had three top ten radio hits and is headlining a cross-Canada tour. Brett won his first JUNO Award earlier in 2014 and became the first country artist to be awarded with ‘Breakthrough Artist of the Year’ in 17 years.

Brett Kissel is sure to play some of his most recognized hits, the rousingly playful track “Started With A Song”, the invigorating catchy “3-2-1” and the modern country gem “Something You Just Don’t Forget” and more, this year at the Bandshell.
