When my 90 year old father said he had always wanted to go kayaking, I knew just the place. Agua Verde. They got our family set up with double kayaks. My dad really enjoyed the summer morning paddling into Lake Union. We finished my dad's birthday with lunch there. All around an wonderful time. Thanks Agua Verde.

HORRIBLE SERVICE. The waiter was so rude that I had to ask him to stop being rude. He became angry and defensive and stormed off. Another waiter had to apologize to us for him. Are you kidding me? I had the same waiter last time and he was just as rude then as he was this time. He has no patience and huffs and puffs around, talks to you like you're an idiot if you ask a question or don't know where something is. Throws the food on the table and couldn't care less if you need anything in the meantime. Why would ever tip someone treating me and my friends like this??? They really need to fire him because he is scaring off all the customers. Older Mexican guy that hates his life. Hostesses are incompetent and have no idea what's going on or how to seat people. Hire better staff or you will definitely be out of business due to them.

I love this place, only place you can get real fish tacos! During it is self seating and for dinner they seat you. It can get pretty busy during the summer months, but well worth it!

FIRE YOUR WAIT STAFF. PROS: View MEH: Food CONS: STAFF. Rude, horrible, staff. (Resteraunt Review only as the Paddle Club is AMAZING) The food is OK . Unfortunatly most of us got the mole which was bland. Otherwise, the food is pretty typical California Mexican fare. Went on a busy summer day and was told we had a 45 minute wait for outside seating. Not a big deal, we expected as much. Except for the hostess was SO RUDE as we asked to be seated outside. She rolled her eyes, gave rude responses and once I had to ask her if she was evening listening to me. We went for a birthday and once we get seated we see the perfect table right on the water. My mom sits there and the waiter pulls the chair out from under here. WTF. We are told we can't sit there. Even though it's ready and beautiful and we have been waiting and we have a birthday boy. They yell at us on the patio and force us into the corner. That's right, 5 large adults shoved into a corner. The perfect table sits EMPTY for 25 minutes until 2 adults and a baby are placed there. Again, 5 large adults shoved into a corner while 25 minutes later 2 adults and a baby are placed in a spacious table (no reservations either). After another 25 minutes of waiting the waiter comes over to us. When asked if we could move she starts to yell at us as well. Finally my mom has told her that she's had enough of their attitude and the waitress literally holds up her hands and shakes her head as she starts to walk away. My mom had to stand up and remind her that she is our waiter and to take our order. The waitress rolled her eyes. She then told me nothing could be made vegetarian - I'd have to order the specific veggie menu item I wanted.... Odd for Mexican but OK. Once we wanted water & I tried to holler at our waiter, the bus boy and the hostess each and got nothing. The whole patio area was looking at us but felt like the staff was intentionally ignoring us. It was my dads birthday but we were literally told by the hostess that we weren't THAT important. Waiters pulled chairs out from under people, staff rolled their eyes. Fire your outdoor patio staff from 7/1/2013 and your HORRIBLE hostess and I'll be back. As someone who eats out frequently, i was DISGUSTED by the level of service. My parents never eat out and this was a treat for them; they felt belittled. We were going to buy a paddle club punch card for my dads birthday but service was so traumatically bad that we won't even return to the paddle club. Yikes guys, get it together (wasn't even that busy - as someone in a Customer Service background).

Cannot recommend. Pros: they have a salsa bar, and are on the cut. Cons: $15 for 3 two-bite (and okay) tacos, luke-warm flavorless beans and greasy green rice. Maybe it's because I got my order to-go, but at any other "authentic" Mexican restaurant, fifteen bucks should buy you a full meal - not an appetizer. The food wasn't too bad or anything, but save the money and get some Chipotle on the Ave.

Boating staff were rude. They appeared tired and frustrated. Not at all geared up for a group of excited kayakers. Bumped heads with us all the way from where to stand in line to what life jacket is approved by their insurance company. The food.. meh at best. The service is the restarurant was lovely and fast. The fried calamari was good. Chicken enchiladas not so much. The pinto beans are okay. Out of a group of about 14 of us, about half of us liked the food. A couple could take it our leave it. A few really disliked it. I would say skip this place, hit a taco truck and go rent kayaks from the kayak truck in Kemore on Lake WA . No attitude or pretentiousness there.

Fish tacos!!!! Are bomb. Definitely the only thing I get there and they are worth it. Go get any salsa you want at the salsa bar and experiment on the chips. They are all tasty. I highly recommend getting a patio seat. Yes, the line is always out the door, but yes again, I always also get a patio seat almost immediately after arriving. They are fast and it's a fun place to sit outside on a nice day and watch the boats go by while enjoying some excellent Mexican food.
