Went there once recently. The music was great. Drinks were good. However the food was very disappointing. It would be hard to convince me that the meals were not made from TV dinners. My wife and I both came to that conclusion independently. On top of that, dinner was served on very basic black disposable plates (styrofoam) with plastic utensils (look on the website and you'll see pictures with these plates). With around 20 small tables, I can't imagine the cost of using real dinnerware would be prohibitive. Advice to guests: Eat before you go, then enjoy an evening of good music and drinks. Advice to management: Serve decent entrees, using real dinnerware, or don't bother offering dinner at all (especially averaging close to $20 a plate).

Great little place. The artist are always very talented! My wife and I go here about once a month and love every minute of it. For $20, you get real talented entertainment in a nice relaxing environment. Would recommend it to anyone!

Purchased a deal from SweetJack for the Velvet Note in which on numerous occasions when attempting to use the deal I was advised that the artist would not honored the deal. We had to purchase tickets for the event in which the bartender was friendly but management lacked customer service skills. Not sure if she was off in her game but I would not recommend to spend your evening here just based on my experience.

The Velvet Note is the most incredible Jazz venue in North Atlanta. Excellence in entertainment, ambiance, edibles, and hosts. My favorite music spot.

I brought my daughter here for her birthday celebration and she loved the show. I got her a CD of the artist who autographed it for her. We ate before coming which proved to be a good idea because the menu is limited. I have told a handful of friends about this quaint place because a friend told me. The place gets sold out fast, so get the reservations early.

Old Milton in Alpharetta,GA is as deep in the 'burbs as it's possible to get and right here is a small music venue showcasing cool jazz. It is just a little like being in your own living room, very comfortable but with such a high ceiling it has much better sound than most homes can deliver. The venue being sandwiched between a subs shop and a Brazilian Wax kind of increases the appeal. This is not a lush, luxurious, super-expensive Manhattan jazz lounge but great it is. For $20 you hear very talented musicians playing this hearts out and you are surrounded by nice people (49 is the maximum audience) enjoying a drink and are enthusiastic about the music.
