The Velvet Note is one of my favorite date night places in Alpharetta. I came here once on a whim with my now wife and we've been back twice since and bring others with us each time to spread the word. The venue is a very small "living room" and seats probably about 30 to 40 people. The design was made so that the acoustics of a live performance literally couldn't get better. The small room gives every seat an up close and personal experience with the artist. The service has always been great in my opinion. All food and drink orders are taken before the show begins and will be delivered soon after. I always go to the 9:30 pm shows and have dinner beforehand so I can't comment on food quality. The wine though is superb. I recommend the Malbec. In short, this is an excellent date night spot OTP. Order a drink or three, sit back, relax, listen to the music and I promise you'll have a good time.

What a diamond for Atlanta! I have attended a few performances here and each one is a spectacular performance. I simply love my evenings here and the ticket prices do not break the bank. The small plate appetizers are all that I've had as food here -- we go out for "real" dinner" after the performance. The apps are simple and just OK. I have tickets for Laura Coyle in a few weeks and am really looking forward to it.

The Velvet Note is the most incredible Jazz venue in North Atlanta. Excellence in entertainment, ambiance, edibles, and hosts. My favorite music spot.

Great music. Like a hidden gem. Definitely recommend and will return when I am back in town. Garret Morgan is one to watch. He is amazing!

Went there once recently. The music was great. Drinks were good. However the food was very disappointing. It would be hard to convince me that the meals were not made from TV dinners. My wife and I both came to that conclusion independently. On top of that, dinner was served on very basic black disposable plates (styrofoam) with plastic utensils (look on the website and you'll see pictures with these plates). With around 20 small tables, I can't imagine the cost of using real dinnerware would be prohibitive. Advice to guests: Eat before you go, then enjoy an evening of good music and drinks. Advice to management: Serve decent entrees, using real dinnerware, or don't bother offering dinner at all (especially averaging close to $20 a plate).

Great little place. The artist are always very talented! My wife and I go here about once a month and love every minute of it. For $20, you get real talented entertainment in a nice relaxing environment. Would recommend it to anyone!

I brought my daughter here for her birthday celebration and she loved the show. I got her a CD of the artist who autographed it for her. We ate before coming which proved to be a good idea because the menu is limited. I have told a handful of friends about this quaint place because a friend told me. The place gets sold out fast, so get the reservations early.
