Katzman, Garfinkel, & Berger Receives Community Association Service Provider Designation
HEATHROW, FLORIDA - JUNE 27, 2012 - FCAP-Florida Community Association Professionals, LLC, announces Katzman, Garfinkel, and Berger Law Firm (KG&B) of Margate, Florida has been named a CASP Designated Member (Community Association Service Provider) of FCAP. The CASP designation is offered to FCAP members who have applied to and completed an extensive vendor program designed specifically for the community association industry in Florida.
KG&B's founding partner, Donna Berger, recently completed the program to achieve the highest level of recognition for vendors who offer services to the community association industry. Developer bankruptcy in a construction defects case?

Why associations should NOT "throw in the towel," even when a developer has gone bankrupt ...

Here's another case in point, in which recovery of $4.1 million in damages is being funded by insurance companies for the builder, general contractor and 40 subcontractors -- despite a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing by the developer.

Odds Are High for Another Active Hurricane Season in 2012

Chances are next year will be another active hurricane season in the Atlantic if an El Niño does not develop, say forecasters at Colorado State University.

The forecast team of Philip Klotzbach and William Gray released its early hurricane season forecast for 2012, saying that it is dispensing with the usual numerical forecast for the number of storms. Instead, Klotzbach and Gray issued their forecast in terms of the probabilities “of the key factors influencing the hurricane season.”
