Worst experience ever at move out. Firstly, I wasn't to thrilled the entire time I was living there. That's why I was moving. A few weeks ago the was a shooting on Waterwheel drive side that had a bullet go through my next door neighbors apartment. The shooting was in the day time as well. The whole apartment complex has a mold problem that they blame on their tenants and say that there is not enough ventilation in the apartment and they say it's "mildew." I thought it could be true but after doing what they said the mold just kept coming back. I put in my notice and requested a pre walk through inspection. I never got it. Then on the day that I was supposed to move a temporary leasing agent was the only one there to do my walk through which I was fine with because I was ready to be done with this place. When she went through the she kept saying how unsure she was about things and told me more the 10 times she was just filling in. It started to make me uncomfortable so I asked if we could contact the apartment manager to get things done correctly. When we got back to the office almost 2 hours later there were tenants waiting outside trying to pay rent because today is the 30th and the apartment office is now closed on Sunday. So me being courteous I say it ok to take there rent. Well because she is temporary she didn't have access to all the systems so she couldn't help the tenants. Then they wanted receipts for turning in rent since rent has been stolen from there a few time but she could not give them that because the copier was broken. When she finally got done dealing with all of the tenants I had been with her for 3 hours and all she kept saying was she wasn't approved for over time. I asked more than once if we could call the manager to fix thing because at that point I was uncomfortable and we still hadn't completed the move out paperwork. When I got the manage Samantha she told me even though she knew that my walk through wasn't completely done that I needed to rerun my keys to them and come back on Monday to finish. Now let's not forget that I put my notice in on 3/29/16 to move on 4/30/16. I requested a pre move out inspection and wanted a moved out inspection as well. They knew for a month of my move out day but not until today did they ever say that they only do these Monday through Friday. So she pretty much told me that she couldn't help me until Monday but that if I didn't return my keys today I would still be charged for rent. She wanted to hear nothing I had to say and because I was trying to explain what was going on and her worker was on overtime she called security because she said I was holding her employee against her will. Let's keep in mind I patiently waited for her to help other residents but now it's was my fault. Never was I aggressive nor did I use derogatory language but that what she said. I waited for security because I need some proof that I turned my keys and and that my place was not damaged. Julie I believe her name is ( leasing agent) could not make copied and from me being there with her for over 3 hours my phone died. I had to have the security guard take pictures of the move out papers to show it was not complete as well as that I gave them my keys. I have never had an experience like this in my life. But lesson learned. I don't recommend that anyone move into these apartments and I will most definitely be filing a complaint with the property management company on Monday even though it may not do much. RENTER BEWARE..
