Loved the ambiance... Sleek and minimal, great SF vibe. The food was really good.... Fantastic jicama salad with grapefruit and coconut soup. We'd love to come back and try other items!

I enjoyed the recently opened Out The Door near Fillmore & Bush. Nice large space with different type of seating: if there no openings with regular tables you can choose the communal table or the bar. Reservations are pretty hard to get the day of, so plan early. The fried pot stickers with shrimp and green onion were very good - juicy and flavorful. We had the most expensive item on the menu, the beef. The meat was very tender and good amount too. The crab noodles were probably least favorite.

I was very excited to try this place, because I love Slanted Door. Out the Door is Vietnamese "street food" with a similar flavor to Slanted Door. I met friends here for breakfast, and the Vietnamese coffee, beignets and egg rolls that I tried were great, but I still prefer the standard brunch food for breakfast. It'd be a great lunch or dinner spot, though.

Fancy Vietnamese fusion place with a nice upscale vibe and friendly service. I came here for brunch and tried the chicken porridge and fried chicken. The porridge was delicious, with very traditional flavors. The fried chicken was also pretty good, but wish there was something besides the pickled vegetables to balance it out. Overall, nice place and good food. I will definitely be back to try their dinner service.

Out the Door is part of a veritable SF institution. From the owner of Slanted Door, a Viet heavy hitter located in some of SF's most prime real estate in the Ferry Building, what Out the Door Pine Street lacks in real estate prowess it makes up for in pure tasty delightfulness. While some of the dishes can be somewhat pricy (talking about you Shaking Beef), they are expertly crafted, perfectly prepared, and change regularly. Tip: go for brunch and get the Pho. They cut it off in the late afternoon, but it's excellent and highly authentic. You also can't go wrong with the steamed buns in several different flavors (including veggie, which actually reigns supreme). The space is beautiful, with an open and welcoming vibe. It can get crowded but we have never had a huge problem eventually finding a table thanks to the friendly and inviting staff.

Food was fantastic. The shaking beef was recommended to us no less than three times when people heard we were going to OTD. It definitely didn't disappoint. The starters were amazing -- especially the salt and pepper calimari. Service was relaxed and very good.

This place fill up fast. The food is expertly prepared, and the wait staff kept up with a bustling crowd. We ordered a range of dishes and shared. Everything we ordered met or exceeded our expectations. The place is a little pricey, but the food and wine was worth every penny.

I can't vouch for the meat dishes, but the vegetarian options were amazing. We had spring rolls as an appetizer and dishes that featured tofu / mushroom, sweet potatoes, brussels sprouts, and cauliflower. All were phenomenal! Service was also fantastic. I'm looking forward to my next visit.
