Giving A Lecture At Mitchell College

This Friday (November 13th) I’ll be giving a lecture at Mitchell College in New London, CT. I’ll be showing the students some of the new careers that have been evolving in recent years because of the World Wide Web such as Search Marketing, Conversion Rate Improvement Consulting, and Web site Analytics.

Here’s the overview posted on the college’s learning management system: 

Students will learn about competitive, technology driven, Internet based services designed to drive increased user traffic to web sites from search engines and other referral websites as well as improve the “user experience” for site visitors using dynamic, analytical tools leading to increased “conversions” (Conversions are the actions site visitors take  such as purchasing, inquiring etc) . At the core of these services are organizations and technologies focused directly on Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).  One such organization is eVisionSEM an international internet services business headquartered in Connecticut who has been helping their clients grow their businesses for over 17 years.
