Hace sol today, and the weather looks like it'll be in the 60's almost all week. Might spring finally be here? In order to express our joy every day that it's a bit warmer, here's how to say the days of the week in Spanish:
lunes (loo-nes) - Monday
martes (mar-tes) - Tuesday
miércoles (me-air-co-les) - Wednesday
jueves (hoo-ay-ves) - Thursday
viernes (vee-air-nes) - Friday
sábado (sah-beh-do) - Saturday
domingo (doe-ming-go) - Sunday
Hoy es martes. = Today is Tuesday.
**Special note: In Spanish, the days of the week are not capitalized like they are in English. When used in the middle of a sentence such as "Hoy es martes", martes (Tuesday) is not capitalized.
Thanks for taking the time to learn a little Spanish!

A big news item this weekend was the 88th Academy Awards. So, let's practice some movie and awards-themed Spanish phrases. Now you can tell everyone whether you agree or disagree with last night's results in Spanish!
La película - Movie
Ganador/Ganadora - Winner
Estoy de acuerdo - I agree.
No estoy de acuerdo - I do not agree.
**Extra Credit Grammar Note: The verb "to win" in Spanish is "ganar", so to say that someone or something is a winner, you would use "ganador" for masculine subjects and "ganadora" for feminine ones. For example, Leonardo Dicaprio was un ganador last night, and Brie Larson was una ganadora.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little Spanish!
