This place is a unique shoe store and has excellent service. They have numerous types of shoes that are difficult to find anywhere but online. Also, the work shoe/boot selection is excellent and worth the trip if you work in the trades. The prices are a bit high but if you do not leave rural Wisconsin much the price is worth the convience. In addition they have a very large selection of Children's shoes and sports shoes.

One of the best places for Children in the city. There is so much to do. There is a large and interesting children's play area. Large focus on conservstion and sustainable pra tices. One of the largest butterfly habitats in the country. Amazing to go to the habitat in the winter and feel the warm air and see the butterflies. They have yoga classes there in the winter. The admission fees are also fair and cheap for the area. Parking can be very difficult during the summer. It is almost best to use their pay lot of the pay lot near Lincoln Park conservatory.

This is overall a nice beach. On the weekends parking and traffic near the beach can be insane. So if you can better to walk or bike there. The crowd seems to be ok for the most part and the beach is moderately clean. During night hours on weekends it can get chaotic. I can't count the number of times I have drove by and seen a lot of police and EMS activity there.

This beach is great. It is small but it is clean and the crowd there seems to be decent most of the time. It can get a little crazy around holidays but no where near the craziness of Montrose Beach or North Ave beach. I have lived all over the city and this is one of the best beaches in my opinion. Also if you like to hunt for beach glass there is a large amount of it there. I have found some rare pieces, many from before the 1910's.

I used to love this beach but the quality has decreased over the years. Many times during the summer the beach is filthy and is one of the dirtier beaches in Chicago. The view of the city there is beautiful and if it is not a holiday the crowd is decent. During holidays it is best for families with children to avoid the area. I have seen massive fist fights break out near the beach house. It seems to an extent people from the suburbs come here trash the area, cause trouble, and leave. At night the view of the city is amazing and it is great to walk along the beach.

There is a really cool vibe here. I have to say that I disagree with other reviews saying the beach is unsafe. The one problem I did see on numerous occasions was someone breaking into cars in the parking lot in the middle of the day. That being said it seems that during a busy summer day the parking lot and surrounding area may be a bit unsafe for some. Other than that everyone seems to get a long. It is a crowded beach similar to Montrose beach. It is also not as clean as some beaches but some what cleaner than a lot of northside beaches. There is a giant sand box for young children to play in.

Some of the best swimming in Chicago. The part around the point is very nice but the real joy is swimming there. The water is crystal clear. Little to no litter and the majority of the time a decent crowd. Safe to bring children also. Children will need to be supervised because the lake depth does increase quickly there.
