A new book by Nancy Marchant is out and we are in for a treat with many incredible brioche patterns that Nancy developed for us to use. In this book there is a stitch dictionary with more than 70 original two-color patterns. All patterns are charted with symbols developed by Nancy.

Finally posted about Astra
Hi all! I was so busy designing and teaching that I neglected my updates for the blog. Plus my daughter is getting married in August. Although I do not do much for it, I still have some things that relate to it and I love that. I am so happy for Rebecca and Geoff and can't wait until that ...

I use this cast-on method in many of my designs. I hope you like it as much as I do.

This video was created for my book The Art of Seamless Knitting, 2013, Interweave.
Suggestion: The needle size can be the same as your working needle for the project or larger. Also, the thickness of the tail depends on the effect you want to make.

Great needles!
Recently I received two sets of Knitter's Pride needles from Stefanie Goodwin-Ritter from Stitchcrafmarketing.com for review. Most of the time I work with circular needles. I like them to be metal and smooth so I can knit quickly and the yarn does not catch between the cord and the needle.

This video is giving you variations on the Dewdrop cast on. It looks really great for hat edge when you use a big difference in needles as I am showing in the video. Example of its usage is Crown of Leaves Hat http://www.twistcollective.com/collection/index.php/component/content/article/83-fall-2010-patterns/709-crown-of-leaves-hat-by-faina-goberstein
and Red Waves Beret http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/red-waves-beret
