"Amen" and "ditto" to the reviewer before me! My sister and I had TONS of issues living here for a measly 8 or 9 months. First of all, the complex is dog friendly, and while I personally love dogs, I don't love them running after my sister off-leash nor do I love having to hop, skip, and jump over their waste as I walk. Gross. Also, the complex is across the street from the community college, so it feels like you're living in a dorm. Parties go on until the wee hours of morning, which I could excuse on a Friday or Saturday, maybe even on Sunday - but on a Tuesday?! And then Wednesday. And then Thursday... Complaining did nothing but exhaust the poor night patrol man who just had to keep walking to the offending units to tell them to turn the music down. At his recommendation, I resorted to calling the police several times. I actually ended up putting the police on my speed dial. I have lived in plenty of other communities before, and noise has never been a big issue to me before this. It doesn't help that the walls are paper thin. I could hear my neighbors conversations, and my walls literally vibrated with every song they blasted and every video game they played. The other unexpected bi-product of living near partying college kids: vomit next to my car. Lovely. And then there were the bugs. Due to the poorly trimmed tree with branches and leaves that were right up against my windows, we got tons of flying insects that even if I vacuumed all up, would magically repopulate my entire living room in a matter of minutes. Then to top it all off, when I left the apartment, I had so many issues regarding the charges. I was charged my ENTIRE deposit just to clean my kitchen. I have lived in a couple of apartments before this one, and that has never happened to me. I wanted to pay a portion of my deposit while disputing the charge that I disagreed with but was advised by their staff not to pay it at all until the matter was resolved. I had so much trouble getting anyone to follow up, and then without telling me, they sent the claim to collections. Not to mention, they added other charges to my closing bill because of THEIR incorrect billing for 2 or 3 months. Then, after being so exasperated at the entire ordeal, I finally decided to just pay the full amount, but I couldn't even get the proper information from anyone in their office so that I could pay collections! It's such a pity because the staff had been very friendly and welcoming when we moved in. Too bad friendliness will only get you so far.

This is my favorite of all the other apartments I've ever lived in. My sister and I had terrible experiences with Villa Sienna, the complex next door to Pinecreek Village. In contrast, Pinecreek Village is quiet (especially for a complex located directly across the street from a community college), feels very safe, and is beautifully maintained. Rent is month-to-month with no option to lease, but the rental price is guaranteed for a full year. Some complexes will try to convince you that places that rent out month-to-month are bad news because that means a more transient community, but I really didn't find that to be the case. Instead, I think people were more on their toes about adhering to the rules of noise and cleanliness because they could be asked to leave at any time.
