Real Estate Agents - Before You Use Facebook Live Read These Tips!

Live streaming video isn't new. Agents have been able to use UStream, Live Stream, and more recently, Periscope, Meerkat and now, Facebook Live video streaming service.

And soon, you will be able to use Google's Connect Mobile App to live stream from your mobile device which I hear will direct connect to your YouTube channel.

With so many live streaming options, it's important to know a few tips so you come across as a pro and attract more people to your streaming content.

Here are just a few of the tips I mention from my Dakno Blog post in the link below.

1. Promote when you will stream and tease what you will stream so you attract people to your broadcast.

2. Start Strong! Make sure you have a strong wifi or 4G connection before you attempt to live stream.

3. Avoid strong backlighting and make certain you have minimal background noise.

4. Should you stream for more than a few minutes, you may want to mount your phone on a stand to avoid "the shakes" from weary muscles.

5. Welcome and engage new viewers calling them by their names and answer questions from your audience if asked.

6. While few will exceed the 90 minute broadcast time limit for Facebook Live, do keep your Live streams in the 5-10 minute length sweet spot.

Google Wants to Help Real Estate Agents Market to Homebuyers Smarter - with Think With Google!
For real estate professionals, this is awesome intel provided by Google.

As the Think with Google article states, home buyers today search for and digest bite sized morsels of information to cumulatively make a really big decision. A decision every real estate agent hopes to help buyers make - helping them buy the home of their dreams.

Agents need to think like marketers, and need to be aware what information pieces are important within the decision timeline of a home buyer.

Fortunately, Google has all the data for us.

The first is the need to know how much I can afford. To help answer that question, agent sites need to make available simple tools like a mortgage calculator, Google states searches for mortgage calculators are up… way up.

Your website needs to provide high-value content that addresses that big question - how much can I afford in a home?

As the article states much of this search happens on a mobile device.

Agent websites also need to "be there” when buyers want to “chip away" at bits of research in their “free moments”. If your website isn't mobile friendly, you will not be there.

Another need agents should to be ready to address is “how can I (and my website) be helpful at each moment? Are my content marketing strategies "shaping preferences starting from the beginning? Do I offer the right experience for the screen and the context?”

When you build your real estate website, every department of your marketing partner should be engaged in helping shape your website to address these consumer needs for digestible morsels of information for your buyers. This includes the design team, the copywriting team, the development team and the SEO/marketer team.
