There's a reason this place is packed any day of the week, even though it is at a forlorn country crossroads miles from anywhere: it's some of the best eating you are going to find for 50 miles around. Heidi and Joe are superb chefs who honed their skills in New Orleans: Heidi running the wonderful Elizabeth's, and Joe as pastry chef at Nola, one of Emeril Lagasse's restaurants (yes, I was enjoying their cooking long before they moved here). The menu is very down home... but excellent. The things grandmother would have made if she had *really* been the excellent cook we like to say she was. Run, don't walk. Yes, the parking lot will be full, so just park over beside the goats. Or across the road. But go.
