The Mizoram Government has come out with a novel proposal of medi-bikes to provide immediate relief and assistance to the needy people living in its difficult geographical terrain. Dealing with emergencies is always very difficult task in Mizoram. However, with the introduction of medi-bikes this difficulty could be overcome.

Mawlynnong village located in the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya, also referred as ‘God’s own garden’ has won the acclaim of being the ‪ “‎cleanest village in Asia”. Mawlynnong has won this acclaim of being the cleanest village in Asia in 2003 courtesy Discovery magazine. The village has also won the acclaim of being the cleanest village in India in 2005.

At present, Nagaland has 417 serving doctors; we need 407 more doctors as per the Indian Public Health standard, stated Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio. “As the population grows and more and more diseases are invading the world, the need for doctors will keep on increasing,” he added, while unveiling the foundation stone for Nagaland Medical College.
