The ramen was delicious. I love how you can customize the toppings, noodle consistency, and broth.

Just judging by the constant crowd hovering outside, you know this a a good ramen place. I'm secretly glad there's always a crowd or else I would be eating here everyday that a tiny ramen baby would form. Everything is customized to your taste. First you choose the type (best to start off with the hakata ramen) then you get to choose the noodle firmness, broth strength, and oil amounts. I like my ramen less oily and my noodles on the softer side, so it's a perfect system. Then, at an extra cost, you can add toppings and sides. They make this meal all about you and this just makes the ramen experience that much more amazing. Come right when they open or be prepared to wait at least 30 min to get a seat!

Another good ramen spot in Gardena. I do like that you can customize your bowl from the texture of the noodles to the broth, and even add all kinds of toppings. I keep mine simple with the hard noodles, thick broth, egg, and char siu. The noodles they use here are too thin for my liking. I prefer thick noodles like the ones at Tsujita or Yamadaya. There's always a wait but they tend to flip tables fairly quickly. Service: Quick and attentive.

Whoa! I must be lucky to be so close to this shop while in town for work. This place is out of this world delicious. One broth keeps it simple and few extras makes choices easy. Come here you won't regret it!

Simple yet awesome ramen. Now i know why people flock to this place. Price is affordable, crowd is young and interesting, very welcoming atmosphere. Servers claps and cheerfully exclaims in Japanese (not sure what they say but they sure sound glad!) whenever patrons arrive and leave. The best thing - simplicity and awesome taste. Definitely will come back with my kids to try the ramen, this time without the soup.

Came here with two of my favorite people in Long Beach. They always take me to some really awesome food places, and this one of them. I love that this place doesn't try to overdo themselves like many ramen places I know in the Bay Area. I feel like so many of them, try to dress up their ramen bowls to make them look pretty, without enough concern in the taste. The broth at Hakata is basic and done right. And they give you the opportunity to add all that other mumbo jumbo later. My mumbo jumbo item was a side of spicy miso. I love that that do this on the side. That way I can add as much spicy miso as I want, and I can also spread spicy miso on other things if I want. Brilliant. Their spicy miso on the side idea is not only great, it's delicious. I also really like that there are also ramen combinations, so I can have a side of gyoza, fried rice, and spam masubi. That's whats up! I hope this place is able to make it up to the Bay Area, and show people how it's really done.

Normally it's a very long wait... About 30 mins approx. But it's worth every minute! The best thing you can order here is the ramen soup! It's my favorite place and it's not too expensive. I have try other dishes and they are ok, but if you come here get the ramen!

This is one of my favorite ramen places! The delicious tonkotsu broth is always so flavorful and you can even choose the broth strength and thickness of your noodles to your liking. I am never disappointed!
