Sorry I can't help you with the glaze - it's been years since I worked in reduction but I know there will be alot of variation in a touchy glaze - be sure to count when you are dipping - perhaps the variation is in the bisque - do you stack alot for the bisque ? don't know but ... my advice is: don't drive yourself crazy with this - you have gone to great lengths to accommodate this customer and hell... handmade pottery has variations, what's not to love about that ! If they are not happy, I would do the refund but I would keep the plates - if they are not happy there will be other customers that love those plates !
Thanks for the feedback Colleen....I had not thought of the bisque possibility, good thought! Yes, I DO count when dipping! But, my fatal flaw (you are reminding me) is to write it down so I remember from firing to firing, which I do not do :/ Had I recorded that it might very well have helped me when trying to recreate a look.
