Serving the neighborhood since 1954, this Italian steakhouse features live jazz most evenings.- Google
"My entree of choice is usually the beef ravioli Bolognese."
"Porterhouse steak is awesome!"

the live jazz and the food they serve go perfectly together in my opinion, the reason they dont get 5 stars is because my waiter was a bit slow, but that varies.

Came here once after hearing their radio commercials for years and wasn't really that impressed. This is supposed to be an Italian steakhouse and their Prime Rib was kind of dry and didn't come with au jus. The environment was cool I suppose and they had a band setting up as we were finishing up our meal but it didn't save it for me. I think it cost too much for that level of quality

My favorite place to eat is at the bar. The stools are comfortable and the atmosphere is laid back and clubby. I love the bartenders, they make a great Manhattan, and at $7.50 it has got to be the most reasonably priced cocktail in town. Plus, they keep the martini glasses chilled and they serve it to you with the metal shaker on the side so you can refill it at your leisure. My friend Andy and I go once a week to share baskets of complimentary popcorn and split the gourmet burger ($9.00) which comes with mushrooms, grilled onions, bacon and cheese and is large enough for two people. I also enjoy sitting in the main room (though I prefer the tables away from whatever jazz band is playing because at times it's hard talk over the music). The dinner menu is more expensive than the bar menu but still pretty darn reasonable (the specials are worth exploring: my boyfriend loves the Prime rib or the New York Steak with mushroom sauce for $18.00). My entree of choice is usually the beef ravioli Bolognese. I never expected a family steak house to make such a rich delicious pasta sauce. There's a reason the place is always packed: Great service, food and atmosphere.

This place is like stepping into a movie about New York Gangsters in the 60s-70s, quite literally. From the plush red vinyl booths, to the kitschy art on the walls to the way their serve their Old Fashioned (orange slice, maraschino cherry). We stopped in for a drink and some calamari late on Saturday night and were greeted by a jazz band in the corner and booths full of folks who could have been our grandparents. The calamari was crispy, the staff nice and the drinks were smooth. This place gets a 3 for decor just because. Go here and step into an Italian American restaurant time machine.

What can I say? Love the live music. Has a Blue Velvet feel. Fun.
