Went for dinner on a Sunday night, and had a wonderful time. Wide selection of beers, great menu (not very vegan friendly however), and a nice atmosphere. My sandwich was outstanding, appraisers were slammim, and everyone else's food was grand as well. 10/10 would go again.

Poor experience. It's trying to be a fancy brew pub, but the service just doesn't know anything about beer. When asking for a refill of the same beer, the server brought out an obviously different beer by color and taste but argued with us that it was the same beer. They brought out the wrong food twice! And then when we reviewed the check realized they had been pouring the beer in smaller glasses than advertised, 12oz pours instead of 16oz as they should have been. In summary, bad food, beer you can get anywhere, and very poor service, especially at this higher price point. Recommend avoiding! I'm also noticing that the trend in positive reviews are old reviews, the newest reviews are poor. Unfortunately, mine was not an isolated poor experience.

Took forever to be seated after being told multiple times we'd be seated soon. "5 minutes" became 15. Appetizers came out late, entries out exceptionally late. All staff members seem completely depressed. On bright side, the food was pretty good and there was an amazing bottled beer selection.

Fantastic experience. My fiance and I recently moved into the area and have been looking for the right place to become "our place". We found it. Decided to have a few drinks before we ordered, and our waitress, Susan, gave us as much time as we needed, and promptly showed up when we closed our menus. The food was very good, and the atmosphere was fantastic. The icing on the cake was getting the bill after we had spent a few hours worth of eating and drinking. Very, very affordable! Thanks again, we'll be back!

Went to the Broad Axe to celebrate my granddaughter's 18th birthday. My order of seared tuna came barely seared and was actually cold; it was served without the wasabi as described on the menu. Have you ever tried to eat cold rice?? My companion's order of baby back ribs tasted like boiled meat heated over, not once, but several times. Service was adequate, but hardly outstanding. Will not return!!!!!

Beautiful interior. Higher class pub style reminding of colonial days. Food is okay. Takes some time for the food to come out, but that may be on purpose.

Seems that there's a number of restaurants in the area that have put a lot of effort and money into beautiful interiors and the Broad Axe Tavern is no exception as a complete restoration of an area fixture (for almost 300 years?!?). But with another tavern immediately behind it and a bank's drive-thru lanes encroaching on the side, the parking situation is shady. More to the point, all the effort that goes into restoration of the building, doesn't seem to have gone into the menu. Standard fare is here, without much flare to it, though tapas-style appetizers are a nice touch. It falls to the beer list to make the trip worth the effort, with a number of brews on the list that won't be found at most other pubs in the area.
