Took forever to be seated after being told multiple times we'd be seated soon. "5 minutes" became 15. Appetizers came out late, entries out exceptionally late. All staff members seem completely depressed. On bright side, the food was pretty good and there was an amazing bottled beer selection.

Absolutely terrible under new management. I heard so many great things about this place and was extremely disappointed. Staff was incompetent and inattentive. Will never return

We have been here several times, they have a beautiful restaurant, staff, and bar. Their food is exceptional and we have always had a great experience. Highly recommended. On Thursday nights till 9PM they have live music as well.

Fantastic experience. My fiance and I recently moved into the area and have been looking for the right place to become "our place". We found it. Decided to have a few drinks before we ordered, and our waitress, Susan, gave us as much time as we needed, and promptly showed up when we closed our menus. The food was very good, and the atmosphere was fantastic. The icing on the cake was getting the bill after we had spent a few hours worth of eating and drinking. Very, very affordable! Thanks again, we'll be back!

Seems that there's a number of restaurants in the area that have put a lot of effort and money into beautiful interiors and the Broad Axe Tavern is no exception as a complete restoration of an area fixture (for almost 300 years?!?). But with another tavern immediately behind it and a bank's drive-thru lanes encroaching on the side, the parking situation is shady. More to the point, all the effort that goes into restoration of the building, doesn't seem to have gone into the menu. Standard fare is here, without much flare to it, though tapas-style appetizers are a nice touch. It falls to the beer list to make the trip worth the effort, with a number of brews on the list that won't be found at most other pubs in the area.

Have been to Broad Axe many times and the service is consistently good. The food is merely average given the prices. I've tried many things on the menu and usually end up resigned to trying something else next time. Still fishing for a go-to dish.
