Live life the real way...Look up from your phone.
Social Media Social Illusion
my 15 year old daughter shared this with me

I think there are many people isolated in lonely depression that reach out through social media for a false sense of connection.

However, the same thing happens IRL. Superficial relationships are based on the individual. It requires strength of character to break out of our own self-centeredness to find interest in others and connect with them in meaningful ways.

Every dentist wants more new dental patients. As our economy gets worse and worse, many doctors complain there seems to be a paucity of “high-quality” new dental patients to be found. By “high-quality”, I mean patients who show up on time, pay on time, accept your treatment plans, show up for their twice yearly hygiene appointments, refer co-workers and friends to you, etc…

I think it is very important to distinguish just what a “high-quality” new patient is since I’m assuming you don’t just want any new patient. One of Google’s most searched terms of 2013 was “growth hacking.” This is the year that growth hacking strategies were implemented in a dental practice for the first time. So the question begs; what is growth hacking? Is it a viable strategy for your dental practice? What are the benefits over traditional dental marketing? I’ll answer these questions and more, and I hope to help make 2014 your most profitable year ever.
What is growth hacking?
Here’s the definition at Wikiipedia.com: “Growth hacking is a marketing technique developed by technology startups that uses creativity, product development, analytical thinking, and social metrics to sell products and gain exposure. Growth hackers focus on low-cost and innovative alternatives to traditional marketing, i.e., utilizing social media, coding, creation of apps, UX design, and viral marketing instead of buying advertising through traditional media such as AdWords (pay-per-click), radio, newspaper, and television.”
