5 stars is not enough for this restaurant. Waiter - Rod was tremendous. Steaks were out of this world.

The waiter was nice, but didn't let us eat in peace ! The food is not disgusting, but it's not good and really overpriced. For such a price we expected if possible a good service and at least good food.

Very easy to get to from the Metro. Decor is really nice with its dark wood panels. Staff well dressed and professional. The meal was not as appealing. Three people at our table. One fillet was undercooked but seared to the point that you needed an ax to get through the outer "shell". Prime rib was probably the toughest piece of meat I've ever tried to eat. Fish was excellent, but the portion was small. $300 for two appetizers, three cocktails, three main courses, two sides and tip. Not the best steak house in town for the price. Bobby Van could use a lesson from "Shula".

Our waiter was horrid! He rushed us! He was RUDE! My husband and I were so excited to eat here. We were looking foward to it. But our waiter didn't want anything to do with us. He didn't respect us, and he made our experience horrible. It was the worse customer service ever. We both are servers, so we know how to provide excellent service. We know how to take care of guests, and this guy clearly didn't. The food was excellent, but our stay was very uncomfortable.

Very good steak. Cooked to perfect temperature- medium rare! Mushrooms are great. Fries are good and crispy. Service is good.

Drunk person at the table next to us was causing problems but the staff took care of it quickly and gave us a sizable discount for the trouble. Manager was kind as well. Food was excellent (which is expected from such a pricey place). Would recommend.

Had dinner here on a Saturday night. No problem to have a table. Good and fast service. Food was good; I had a Bobby Vans's NY strip, french fries and a glass of red wine.

I love the management and staff at this Bobby Vans. So friendly, so accommodating, they really do it right. A classic steakhouse feel, with wood and white tablecloths, this place has a richness and solidness to it, without being stuffy. The food is fantastic - the crab dip blew my mind. Such a great "DC" place to go. Perfect for business lunches and dinners, entertaining clients or out-of-towners, a date night or special occasion, or just grabbing drinks at the bar.
