The financial markets are already beginning to react negatively to the impending Government shutdown to be followed by a default on the full faith and credit of the United States by refusing to increase the debt limit.

Yeah. Tough times are ahead. After five years of struggling to make ends meet and rubbing our nickels together to make the mortgage payment we were finally starting to see a recovery.

Housing was making a nice recovery. Consumers (you and me) were starting to spend a little bit more in the stores. Car sales were coming back.

All that will go down the toilet. We will be starting over from Square One or worse.

Remember how the United States' credit rating was downgraded the last time the debt ceiling was threatened. The Congress actually honored it at the last minute but because of our seeming inability to govern ourselves through our representatives in Congress, the world will be taking a whole new look at us.

It ain't going to be pretty and it seems like there is no desire in Congress to do anything about it except to play some crazy form of "Chicken" to see who blinks first.

I love the banner headline in today's Washington Post sports section. RG 0-3. Our golden boy has lost his luster. We've lost to the easy teams. I predict the losingest season in memory, #Redskins

Hopefully, the reigning Super Bowl Champs 40 miles to the north will carry the banner. #Ravens

Please sponsor "Team HowlMore" in our upcoming “So Mush Fun” Dog Carting Event!

A fundraising event for the ongoing rescue efforts for Bay Area huskies/mixes.
NorSled is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and finding new homes for unwanted, abused and abandoned, sled dogs from across Northern California.

Since their inception in 1998, they have helped find homes for over 2,000 dogs. For the last 3 years they have saved over 200 dogs per year. They need help raising funds to cover medical and kenneling costs to ensure that they can continue their mission.
Both Tuukka and Kiirra were saved by NorSled (and we were saved by them).

Does anyone know how I can log out of my #Google+ mobile app so I can log into my other #Google+ account. I've looked high and low for the log out link on the mobile app and can't find it anywhere.

Amazing stuff. #Search
A Look at Google's 200 Search Ranking Factors (Infographic)

Maintaining and improving your website's search engine optimization (SEO) can be exhausting. Every time search giant Google changes its algorithm, business owners and their webmasters are left with their heads spinning, trying to make adjustments so their sites don't fall in Google's search rankings.

I have noticed an amazing thing about +Google+ amd +GoogleApps .  I bought into the whole #GoogleApps  thing for e-mail, the custom domain name, etc. I even went to the trouble of migrating Google+ over to the new account.

A Completely Different Google+

It seems that the people in my stream are so completely different in the Google Apps account. Less diversity. Less fun.  The posts in my "regular" Google+ account are more diverse and more fun, less techy. In other words, not the same two or three people all the time.

Supposedly, my Circles and the people in them migrated. The experience is way, way different. Weird.

I'm reading this as the result of a recommendation from a member of Get Momentum - an online coaching group facilitated by +Jason Womack .

It's a good book. Very interesting stuff It's well written and well researched and also very accessible as far as these types of books go.
