This is cold-blooded murder. There was no escalation or aggravation on the part of the suspect.

Wow. Rand Paul used his announcement speech to announce policies and promises that he would implement as President. Hillary Clinton used hers to market herself like a brand of tampons.

Only one of these people is actually a serious candidate.

As disturbing as this product is, it creates an interesting social experiment. Will it be used:

1.) by hateful people to let out their frustrations with the world so that they can function normally in public? Or;

2.) as a training simulation for people who actually intend to do things like this, but need some help actually visualizing the plan?

The difference between GTA and this is GTA isn't quite as realistic. No matter how much violence you commit in GTA, the world is so fictional and caricatured that it's far more likely to be used for (1) than for (2). Hatred, on the other hand, seems way too real. They lay out the motivation for violence, the tools, the strategy, and a rationalization of the end-game. And the victims beg for their lives. This makes me fear that this game is more likely to be used for (2) than for (1). But I could be wrong.

My thoughts exactly for both points.  However I have less issues with it if I think about this game as just like a realistic throwback to the wolfenstein days of senseless violence.

This happens to me every time I reboot my PS2 now. To temporarily fix it each time, I unplug the component cable line from the PS2 and plug it back in. I don't know why this happens.

I used to do things like this all the time back in college (2007-2011). Gallium + aluminum + water = hydrogen gas + aluminum oxide + reusable gallium. This is a great way to acquire hydrogen gas for fun explosions. =)

At some point between the grilling and the fireworks, everyone should take a few minutes to actually sit down and reread the Declaration of Independence. http://www.archives.gov/exhibits/charters/declaration_transcript.html
The 4th of July is not about blind nationalism towards the United States. This is a day for celebrating the vision of liberty that Thomas Jefferson laid out in that most important document presented to the Continental Congress 237 years ago today.

Perhaps instead of handing out American flags on this day, we should be handing out copies of the document that this day is actually about.
Printer-Friendly Version. The Declaration of Independence: A Transcription. IN CONGRESS, July 4, 1776. The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America,. When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected ...

Feedly is terrible. It doesn't even have an efficient "mark unread" feature, and the mobile app isn't even stable. Google should not have closed Reader. =(

Excellent casual steakhouse. Their wood-fired ribeye is juicy and tender, properly seasoned and seared to deliciously seal in the meat flavor. The filet is sprinkled with a hint of cumin to complement the flavor of rich marbling. They hit medium-rare perfectly. This isn't your high-end, $100-per-steak sort of place (the filet is about $20), but is certainly one of the absolute best affordable steakhouses. In other words, it would be unfair to compare them to Morton's, but I'd pick Outback over Ruth's Chris any day.
