I absolutely love this place. The staff is so professional and friendly and the food is fantastic. I cannot go to this restaurant without ordering a bottle of their Nappa Valley wine and the flatbread appetizer.

One of my favorites in the valley. The menu is changing constantly, and the food is always great. There's always something new to try, and its always very creative.

Took my wife here on a date. The service was good, and the food was excellent. Their prices are a bit high, but their menu is unique.

My wife and I greatly enjoy finding outstanding gems inside wonderful little restaurants. Having been looking forward to trying it for quite some time, and luckily an evening becoming available, we decided to give Cena a shot. Unfortunately, we came away quite disappointed. 1) Atmosphere - While the setting is definitely fun, it is not exactly inviting or "warm". To be quite honest, it felt almost half done. From a lack of a hosting area, to the chefs constantly running through the restaurant to grab more produce from the basement, the whole atmosphere left something to be desired. 2) Service - The gentleman who sat us was very polite and on the ball (what you would expect at a place charging these prices in Appleton, WI). However, that's where the service ended. From not having a drink order taken for 15 minutes, to not being offered fresh ground pepper until we were half way through our meal (and only because it was then convenient for the waitress so she could hit her 4 other tables at the same time), to not having forks to eat our dinners with after our salad plates were cleared (15 minutes after we had finished them).... You get the point. When my wife and I are spending $100 for the 2 of us for a nice evening out, I expect to receive better service than I would at Perkins - not worse. 3) The Food - The food was ok. My wife had the Scallops and was coming off of a delicious Scallop meal at Apollon last month. She was highly disappointed. In fact, she kept questioning whether they were fully cooked. We could not flag down our waitress to ask, so my wife just ate through it. My meal was ok - but nothing to write home about. 4) The Price - Like I said, we were looking for a "nice" evening out and were debating The Melting Pot, Apollon, Flanagan's Wine Review... So, we were not surprised by the cost. What we were surprised by was what we received for the price. Cena is attempting to compete with these previously mentioned eateries, but really falls flat. All said, my wife and I will not be going back there for a meal any time soon. The live jazz and bar area seemed nice, but after our meals - which took almost 2 hours with a LOT of waiting around, and being seated immediately - we were not in the mood to stay.

My wife and I went to Cena as part of our anniversary trip to the Copper Leaf resort. Just a few blocks away. The food and staff were incredible. I had the braised pork, and my wife had the chicken. I can not begin to describe how well executed each of these dishes were. They were cooked perfectly and the ingredients used were very skillfully and thoughtfully placed together when designing the menu. For an appetizer we had Chicago Tots and they were also amazing. Our service was also very excellent. We had a fine gentleman, and I wish I could remember his name because it was unique, but he was very professional and prompt. He even took our picture with our phones. We paid a total of $52 for two entrees and an appetizer. We both ordered water to drink. I can not rave enough about this place. When my wife and I feel like wearing our best clothes and have an opportunity to go without children then we will definitely be coming back!

Everything was great. The martini was generous and not watery. The food was delicious and interesting. The bare brick walls and old wood delivered a nice atmosphere and the staff was friendly and efficient. The chef chatted and brought us a yummy new sauce he's developing to sample. Overall a really nice balm after a long journey of white-knuckle winter driving. Oh, and the restroom was just fine.

Great atmosphere, food, and service. Have been there twice and did not disappoint. Bartender makes a phenomenal Wisconsin classic...old fashioned. Will be back again.

This is borderline 4 star. Almost 3. Overpriced and often get over salty food. Still, atmosphere is great, beer menu very good and service very good.
