Cuchara Restaurant
214 Fairview St, Houston, TX 77006
Food was outstanding! Tacos (pork, bean, and potato) were all delicious. Enchiladas were some of the best I've ever had. Mimosas were also very good and mostly champagne. The way mimosas should be for a Sunday brunch. Also tried a red stew with pork and garbanzo beans that was delicious, but I can't remember the name on the menu. The whole menu looked reasonably priced for the area (Sunday brunch menu, doesn't seem to be on their website) but I was a little surprised to see that the mimosas, though tasty, were $9 each when the bill came. Not the best restaurant if you're looking for "sunday funday", but definitely a great food spot. Overall, some of the best authentic Mexican food I've had and I will definitely make another trip to try out the dinner menu.
Quality Excellent

Authentic Mexican food (+3 stars) extremely affordable prices (+1 star). Don't be put off by the appearance on the outside or by the motel next door. Inside is a quaint Mexican restaurant filled with locals. It's recommended to go during lunch time because you get free queso with your chips and salsa :)

Absolutely delicious food at reasonable prices. Worth the drive if you're around the Richmond/Sugar Land area. Highly recommend the Toasted Ravioli as an appetizer, and the spaghetti with HUGE meatballs were also delicious. Even the bread they provide with their homemade (not 100% sure if it was homemade but it sure seemed like it) garlic butter was awesome. Wife and I will definitely go again. Looking forward to trying their pizza on the next visit.

On par with Hopdoddy quality but none of the insane wait times. Excellent burger and fries. Wife also swears by their salads with grilled chicken. Prices are on the high side but in line with the gourmet burger places. Expect $15-20 for burger, sides and drink.

Fajitas aren't what they used to be and have only gotten more expensive. Lupe tortilla has much better fajitas for less. Drinks and queso still very good at Ninfa's, but like the fajitas the prices have just gone up.

The #99 burger is a serious undertaking. Do not tread lightly. The specialty bacon was delicious, but the actual 2/3 lbs patties (yes, plural) left a little something to be desired. Overall the burgers are your pretty standard attractions. Don't expect any of the more creative offerings like Bernie's Burger Bus or Hubcap (both in Houston). The #99 is pretty pricey ($17) but it's realistically big enough for two. The regular burgers are more reasonable ($7.5 - $10) and are plenty big in their own right. Food + ambiance rating (4 stars), lack of parking and general frenzy for a less than excellent burger (-1 star). That might be harsh, but Killen's has set the bar pretty high with their BBQ and Steakhouse locations. I expected more from the beef. Keeping my fingers crossed for a ground brisket blended burger in the future.

Actual work was done properly and quickly (+5 stars), but they managed to break a couple of my lug nut caps while performing the work (-1 star). Right after it happened they were up front about it and said they would order replacements (+1 star). I returned 2-3 weeks later to ask about the replacement caps and everyone I talked to said they knew nothing about it and pretty much told me I was SOL (-4 stars). Not buying a full set of tires from this place again.

This place doesn't even stock enough product to make their specialty advertised sandwiches. Ended up getting completely ripped off because they felt it was fair to charge me $8 for what ended up being a small turkey sandwich with lettuce and tomato. Staff was completely apathetic.
