Cuchara Restaurant
214 Fairview St, Houston, TX 77006
Food was outstanding! Tacos (pork, bean, and potato) were all delicious. Enchiladas were some of the best I've ever had. Mimosas were also very good and mostly champagne. The way mimosas should be for a Sunday brunch. Also tried a red stew with pork and garbanzo beans that was delicious, but I can't remember the name on the menu. The whole menu looked reasonably priced for the area (Sunday brunch menu, doesn't seem to be on their website) but I was a little surprised to see that the mimosas, though tasty, were $9 each when the bill came. Not the best restaurant if you're looking for "sunday funday", but definitely a great food spot. Overall, some of the best authentic Mexican food I've had and I will definitely make another trip to try out the dinner menu.

Actual work was done properly and quickly (+5 stars), but they managed to break a couple of my lug nut caps while performing the work (-1 star). Right after it happened they were up front about it and said they would order replacements (+1 star). I returned 2-3 weeks later to ask about the replacement caps and everyone I talked to said they knew nothing about it and pretty much told me I was SOL (-4 stars). Not buying a full set of tires from this place again.

Fajitas aren't what they used to be and have only gotten more expensive. Lupe tortilla has much better fajitas for less. Drinks and queso still very good at Ninfa's, but like the fajitas the prices have just gone up.

Delicious food and amazing service! It's a pretty small and intimate place with candle lit tables and all. If you're planning on a Friday or Saturday visit consider a reservation. The asparagus wrapped prosciutto with goat cheese was an awesome appetizer. Portions for the entrees were very generous and very tasty. The caramel cheesecake was also amazing (presentation and taste). Have to say one more time that the service was over the top.

This place doesn't even stock enough product to make their specialty advertised sandwiches. Ended up getting completely ripped off because they felt it was fair to charge me $8 for what ended up being a small turkey sandwich with lettuce and tomato. Staff was completely apathetic.

The only place to get the original Antone's Po-boy. Don't be fooled by the franchise that has bought the name and opened up independent sandwich shops.
