9 out of 10 people that helped me were nice. -First tech kept looking at my blood pressure and going "oh that's not good at all." Yeah I have the flu & pneumonia, have you ever heard of bedside manner? -Asked for soup, they said they'd get it, never got it -Asked for water 4 times, got water 1 time. -Told 3+ people that I had been on Tamiflu and had it with me, still ordered me Tamiflu and I'll still probably have to pay for it. -My main problem was a cough, gave me cough medicine at 10pm, then never again until I asked for it at 8am. The nurses are very busy, why not set up a schedule; if someone has a bad cough, give them cough medicine every 4 hours (or however long the time between cough medicine is). This makes me ask the nurses for things constantly which makes me feel like I'm a nuisance. - My shared space was very cold and I had the flu, nurse agreed, so she went to the thermostat to turn it up. She actually turned it the whole way down. That was really fucked. -Lady behind the curtain next to me watched SUPER LOUD cartoons all night. ALL NIGHT. I'm shy and I was worried she'd be belligerent with me because she seemed in pain, I should have asked a nurse but is it so hard to figure out that if one patient is very clearly being rude that maybe a nurse should check in and ask her to turn her tv down? Couldn't sleep all night due to cold and loud cartoons. This is making me extremely angry as I type, raising my blood pressure, and is probably the main reason I'm still here. -Why should I have to ask for water anyways? I have the flu, give me water if I don't have any, OR HAVE SOME CUPS NEXT TO THE FOUNTAINS IN EVERY ROOM. I actually just asked for water 5 minutes ago again and again did not receive it. -Is it normal to literally not check on a patient all night? -Moving me from one room to another- they lost my cell phone charger so I couldn't contact my family easily. Also it was like a 50 dollar fast charger. -There are 3 Nurse-Call buttons on the second bed I was moved to, 2 of them right next to my head and another next to my arm. NONE WORKED. Only the one on the remote I wasn't using worked. TELL PEOPLE THIS. -Something was beeping like crazy in my room, hit the Nurse-Call button, told them, no one came. Figured out it was the cabinet for little bottles and bandages so I closed it. Later another person came in to grab one and left it open again, seriously? -Got -this was one of the worst experiences of my life, at least I don't have tuberculosis though. SERIOUSLY PUT SOME CUPS IN THE ROOMS NEXT TO THE SINK.
