No Cheesesteak spot in Philly is better than this local joint. The energy coming from Its employees like Marcy and Carol to its regular neighborhood customers allows the spot to give you a more authentic experience than any other joint in Philly. Using Amoroso Rolls (which are the best for cheesesteaks) Dalessandro's uses a generous amount of steak on every sandwich along with the common add-ons like onions to mushrooms to whiz or provolone. Don't leave Dalessandros without enjoying its range of Peppers that are placed counter side and tasting it special sauce that goes well with any Steak Sandwich. Genos, Pats, Jims, Steves and Tony Lukes have nothing on this Roxborough establishment....Period.

I was in Philly for a weekend festival and before leaving out I knew that I just had to have a cheesesteak from one of the local places. Being a Baltimore native, I've had my fair share of cheesesteak subs, even a few from a hole-in-the-wall spot cleverly named Philadelphia's Best. Well I have to say that nothing that I've ever had remotely compares to Dalessandro's and I do mean absolutely nothing. I had a simple order of a cheesesteak with provolone and pizza sauce and I simply blown away. God himself has come down and blessed everyone in this shop. The food was heavenly. The service was great, despite being packed to the brim and a line outside. The staff was extremely polite. Everything made for such a wonderful experience and I will be sure to take a few trips a year to do it all again.

Wow, what terrible customer service. I didn't get so far as trying the food because I'm not giving my service to a place who has such a rude person answering the phone! I asked if I could place an order and the girl gave me an attitude and then when I started giving my order I've never ordered from here before so the girl was getting pissed at me and was like "OH MY GOOOSH!" so I hung up and refused to place my order, which would have been a large order too so, you lost my business!!

The BEST Cheese steak in Philly!! Always packed, but definitely worth the wait!! Service was great, a lot of yelling orders but a lot of fun. They also have large variety of beers, which was really different for a sub shop. Which just goes to show you how different they are. Make this your first stop, and you're day will be complete! Get it with American and Provolone, it nice and sharp and delish!

Really awesome cheese steaks. The sauce makes it so much better. Deff worth the chaotic environment.

Great - must have provolone, grilled onions, and hot cherry peppers on a cheesesteak on an Amoroso roll with a Frank's Black Cherry Wishniak soda and Tastycake for dessert. Best meal in the world. Used to be PAT's was the best in the old days!!!

The best cheesesteak in the North-West region of the city. Does not offer much else on the menu besides cheesesteak and cheesesteak varieties.
