I find solace in religious déjà vu like miracles and divine grace but I’m a firm proselyte of cause and nature – the third generational control paradigm.

And Meghan is a classic of this paradigm. Guess why.

NEW BLOG ALERT!

...somewhere between our goal and daily action, we loose it. Either the circumstances change or we change. A new opportunity arises. Theres a shift in the economy. Someone new comes into the picture. Things go quite different from planned. If we stick to the goal, we become servants to it and wear ourselves out. If we abandon the goal we feel guilty over what we are doing, we cant enjoy what we do.

I saw a post with this picture of hers below that read “Describe her in one word.” And someone said “Fresh.” Me I concur. But Nina is unassuming. She is the pretty protagonist. There’s a placard in that wide grin on her face that says; “please protect me. Will you?”

This hunch has crippled our liberalities, pinning us to the hem of the beholder. He drags us to whichever pole on his bearing; to the North or to the South. Like the ever reducing extremes of a swinging pendulum are the reflections of his demeanor. A mirror of what we assume we look like. Different mirrors, different reflections, we have become confused.

Wakanda became the idealization of the third world power and Vibranium it’s superlative technology but what if I told you that the heroines of Black Panther were the real Vibraniums?

This is not a quest to fan the flames of feminist banter nor an “us against them” psyche but a literary exposition to long held societal belief as it pertains to women. Literature is the art of discovering something extraordinary about ordinary people and saying with ordinary words something extraordinary. More than for its ordinary entertainment, the interplay of persona, community, defeat and survival between these characters in the movie, challenges contemporary existing views. Infact, were it not for Nakia, Okoye, Shuri and Ramonda, the plot wouldn’t have descended from a turbulent climax of battle between Kilimonger and Tchalla to a timely resolution. I call them the “Human Vibraniums.” Here’s to the three magical lessons they showed the world and much more than magic, a paradigm shift from what we used to know.

Every time she rises to the stage I’m shy. Hahaha. Wide eye. Lips parted. Flushed cheeks and that winning grin on my face. “I made it Crown” she whispers softly. “You too can”. The waves are telepathic. They electrocute me each time. ” I know”, comes my hush reply.

They say you are the month of love.

May your coming be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope I read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks I’m just amazing. Among the carcass of ungodly pleasure, I pray thee rescue me. Don’t let me go to bed without pouring a piece of my heart. For a writer is like a river. That reflects whatever passes before it.

The concept of flashing “green light” along a guys way to get his attention, dates back to history. Our Nollywood movies of the good old days did a good job in portraying some of those moonlight cultures. That scene where a village maiden will fasten a piece of cloth around her ripe chest. Another piece loosely placed on her hip just enough to sample those full thighs. Grabbing her calabash to the stream, the only route of course would be beside her dream man’s house. As she whistles tunes, those moulds of flesh shake vigorously behind. Left-right-left, to the clicking beats made by the many beads on her waist. You hardly can tell if she’s dancing or walking. Hehehe God help you if that waist belongs to Mercy Johnson. Today the “green light” strategy has changed
