Thanks

I still remember the first time I went to Libertyville, Illinois to visit the Motorola Campus. There was this sense of awe at being in a company whose invention, the cell phone, would forever change the world.

For the next couple of years, we worked hard to marry the agility of a modern internet services company with the legacy of the greatest telecommunications company in the world. We crafted a new portfolio of products, we rebuilt our software stack, we launched the Moto X, then G and then E. Motorola is now firmly on the path of regaining its place as one of the most relevant companies of the mobile era.

Today I am announcing my departure from Motorola after a couple of amazing years in the best job I have ever had.

I have had the fortune of working with an amazing Product team under the leadership of +Rick Osterloh, someone who taught me more about being a leader than anyone ever has. Also special gratitude to +Vic Gundotra, +Bradley Horowitz+Jonathan Rosenberg+Dennis Woodside, and +Lior Ron  for their support and for pointing me in the right direction. This gig was not possible without them. To my Software PM team who I love, stay true to the mission. And to Motorolans, you are truly the best mobile team in the world. It is reflected in the quality of your products.

And finally, thanks to you, the users who embraced our work and personally supported me. Most of our software was the result of the direct dialogue we had with each other. Thanks for your patience and support.

My favorite moment at Motorola was when I was up on stage at the Moto G launch in Brazil, looking into the eyes of the audience, proud to be talking about a product that we fervently believed in, that was built with true user value as its core tenet, that embodied the best of the new Motorola’s principles. I still remember the verve, the energy and the passion.

The rest of my career will be about recapturing that. Thank you Motorola.

+Fry's Electronics, this is my review of the experience I just had with your company and store in Plano TX.

DO NOT SHOP FRY'S IN PLANO. DO NOT SHOP FRY'S PERIOD. Wow....I should have read reviews before buying the main Christmas present for my son, a quadcopter. Long story short, on the first flight, it hit a wall and fell to the carpet, 10 seconds max. Propeller broken AND the propeller protector. Took it to the store, they don't take items back that are broke and WE have to send to some online retailer to be replaced. My son is upset. I complain to Fry's corporate and they have the manager of the store call me. Guy is filled with excuses and even goes so far as to blame my son and I for the subpar quadcopter breaking. Two of the better gems were, "you need to set the trim before flying" and "they aren't designed to hit anything". Well genius, how are we supposed to determine the trim without flying and how in the heck are they not ever going to hit anything! DO NOT SHOP FRY'S IN PLANO. DO NOT SHOP FRY'S PERIOD.

These guys are in collusion with Heritage Buick to bob and weave their way out of warranty work. I would go anywhere else.

Moved close to this dealer so decided to get service there. Asked for an oil change and to look at the rear bumper coming loose from a pin on my Regal GS. Went to pick it up and they said I didn't tell them about the bumper....BS. Put in a second service request online.....they said they never got it. Called this last time about both bumpers now coming loose from pins. While I was handing over the keys, the body guy was standing there and was asked about the bumpers. He just kept saying there is nothing he could do about it, over and over. Then when I picked up the car, the service guy had the balls enough to tell me it had been in a wreck. What! EDIT: Ok, so my car did end up in a cosmetic fender bender. Only the bumper covers were affected. You may say, "well there you go"...wrong. I took it to McKinney Buick because my heated drivers seat went out and there was moisture in my drivers side tail light. While there, I decided to throw in the bumper cover check to see if anything could be done. Seat is heating now, tail light replaced, and guess what....the bumper covers are tightened up again. Not completely flush, but almost, at least they put in the effort. More than I can say for Heritage. Seems McKinney Buick likes to take care of their Buick owners unlike Heritage, who bobs and weaves to get out of warranty repair or even be a bit helpful. The day after I get my car, I noticed 3 gouges in my drivers side door. Hmmmm, tech must have had a tool in his back pocket. Take it back and they say they have a service that repairs the plastic. I voice my concern over the repair job lasting, but we will see. Ha! After I make a call to see if all is a go, my service guy, Darryl says they went ahead and ordered me a whole new panel! Go to McKinney Buick. They care and Darryl has been a big help.

do not go here for a loan. I get payday bridge loans and pay it back in less than 2 weeks. used to be about 10% payment back, now it's like 25%. took out a $400 loan and payed it back in 10 days...$98 interest fee. also, they called me 4 times in those 10 days. lame. go to ACE.

Excellent! Very courteous and helpful. Worked with my schedule. If they can't repair, no charge. And the most important thing...flawless repair. I can't even tell there was a dent!
