Introduction

If you’re an early riser, you can catch Erin Ovalle and the rest of the morning team on WMTW News 8 this morning starting at 4:30 a.m.

Erin grew up in both Winthrop, Mass., and Hudson, N.H. She studied Speech Communications and Political Science at Gordon College in Wenham Massachusetts, where she was president of her class and had the privilege of playing on the women’s tennis team. During her senior year Erin interned at WMUR in Manchester, N.H. where she developed a true passion and interest in broadcast journalism.

Erin has worked as a reporter/anchor in Charleston Illinois, Traverse City Michigan, and Pensacola Florida.

Erin loves being closer to home and exploring all that Maine has to offer.

During her free time Erin coaches girls’ varsity tennis, loves to ski, is learning to golf, and sits on a number of non-profit boards including The Center For Grieving Children.
