Really excellent review - Issue 8 is a great example of what referees can do to make the world of Tekumel truly their own while still adhering to Prof. Barker's vision.

Pretty much.
There’s something absurdly out of touch about party leaders, 2020 hopefuls, and pundits taking the time to dampen the harmless catharsis of seeing those who are paid to defend Trumps most shameful policy decisions being shamed in non-violent acts of direct action. It’s tone policing a constituency that is sick of the atrocities this administration gets away with, wagging the finger at those who don’t feel morally compromised by tales of powerful administration officials being mildly inconvenienced at restaurants.

As +Mark Delsing put it, resistance is civility.
Folks, I understand the drive toward civility is strong. I’m a parent: I’ve worked to instill a measure of that drive (probably less than my kids’ teachers would prefer, but a measure). So I understand how hard the following may be to hear:

If your question regarding vehement protest against policies of open ethno-nationalism and fascism is “Will this compromise our commitment to civility?” then you have a problem. Your question needs to be “where do I join up?”

When things get uncomfortable, and families are being torn apart by differences over policy, the refugees at our southern border still have to push forward, against our elected government. So long as they can’t opt out, you can’t opt out.

Please follow the URL to the post with instructions on how to make this happen, if you are already a member of the Classic Traveller community. Thank you in advance if you have done this already.

I wonder if anybody realizes that character death during character creation in Classic Traveller is functionally the same thing as the funnel in Dungeon Crawl Classics?

So...assuming that everything stays relatively ordinary between now and then, it looks like we're spending the first half of June in France and England. +Paolo Greco (among others)
