Many campers wait until Memorial Day Weekend to unleash their inner camper but we have it on good authority that the veterans plan their getaways a few weeks earlier. Why? Because we're offering a FREE night to anyone who wants to Come Camp & Care with us on May 9th & 10th!

The old lady in the front desk had no customer service attitude at all. We bought two-hour conoeing in their facility, and needed to change wet clothes afterwards. But she kept saying that we needed to pay more for using the facility after the 2 hours. It didn't make any sense here. One of the rangers was very nice, and friendly. But his nicety was completely offset by the non-sense attitude in the front desk.

I would not recommend planning on this location if you expect to use the Lodge or if you expect anyone to call you back to make arrangements for a large group. Called and left messages several times for LAURIE/LORRIE and still no call back. I guess they don't need our business that bad.

Best maintained KOA we've ever stayed in. Gave it 4 stars because the sites are way too close together. Sinks and showers are the requisite and always disappointing low flow type.

We love it here! Have stayed every fall for the past four years and look forward to it again this fall. Superb facilities and accommodating staff.

We did tent camping and reserved a site with electric. On arrival, we didn't really care for our site near the water as it was fairly small, open (no privacy), and crowded for other guests. We luckily were able to move to a site a bit further from the water which had mostly rocks. The site (102) was more private as it had only a cabin unit next to it. We were happy with the site, but there were just way too many bugs since it was a very hot day and near the water. We basically had to eat inside the tent. The dog had to stay in the tent a bit as he was surrounded by annoying flies the entire day. Luckily we took some road trips to Lancaster which was about 50 minutes away. The campsite is well maintained, bathrooms were pretty new and kept clean (cleaned once a day around noon), have canoe rentals, on site store, pool, and breakfast on weekends. Overall the site is like most KOA, but i would rather get a site further away from the water to avoid the small annoying bugs. Once we got away from the water and near the dog walk / story area, the bug problem went away. If you want a larger site will privacy, you probably want to look elsewhere

I can't recommend this campground. We were treated rudely by a member of the staff and received no apology from the park's owner. Called ahead two weeks before arrival and a staff member said we could stay up to three hours after the traditional noon checkout on a Monday. We agreed to pay the extra $3/hour fee for the privilege of staying late. On that Monday morning, to confirm that we would need to stay after noon, a different staff member rejected the promise made by her colleague. She demanded we leave by noon. Unfortunately, we were committed to visit a local college and could not return until 2 p.m. The staffer repeated her demand that we leave be noon, suggesting that the site would be immediately occupied at 2 p.m. Note this was a Monday - 75% of the campground was empty. We returned at 1:30, packed the trailer fast in 95 degree heat, and were able to leave before 2 p.m. We received no thanks or acknowledgement of our efforts by said staff member. Three days after I called the owner to complain, he acknowledged that our site remained vacant after we left and the rush was unnecessary. Despite this, the owner never apologized and never acknowledged the inconvenience and stress his staffer put us in. You can expect the same treatment for lesser issues. We won't be back. Ever. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
