Reminder that the Library at the Surrey campus will be closing on Tuesday:
"A friendly reminder that Fraser Library (SFU Surrey) will close April 24 to May 6 for renovations.
During closure, alternative and additional study space for SFU students (3120, 3150, PC lab 3140) and Library staff and select services (3130) will be available on Galleria 3, Monday to Friday, 9:30-4:30.
If you would like to access Fraser Library's collection, please do so by 9 p.m., Monday, April 23. If you would like to request an item from Fraser Library's collection, please place the request by noon, Monday, April 23."

Effective Intercultural Communication:
Want to be a culturally competent and sought-after professional in today's globalized workforce? Effective Intercultural Communication is a FREE self-paced online learning opportunity that provides interactive lessons on intercultural communication; a skill that is crucial to Canadian employers today. Leaving this course you will have an increased awareness of how your cultural influences can affect your intercultural interactions, how to think differently about your experiences, about others’ experiences, as well as understand the impacts of colonialism on Indigenous cultures in Canada.

Job Search Success:
Receive expert feedback on your cover letter and resume, and engage in activities that are relevant in today's diverse workplace. Job Search Success is an online course that will teach you how to think differently about your experiences and how your unique background can positively contribute to your job search. You will improve your resume and cover letter while learning how to communicate in today's multicultural workplace; a skill employers look for today. The course is designed knowing you are busy. It can take 1-2 hours per week and is 4 weeks long. It is instructed through videos so there is not a lot of reading. You will receive expert feedback on your professional writing documents.
Cost: $20; non-refundable after the start of the course
