On this last week of 2016 I am stopping in to visit with a fellow brain injury survivor and leave her some items of strength...
There are those moments in our lives we realize all the hard times, confusion but even all those successful times make sudden sense to you. And I can say with absolute confidence that walking through the halls of these hospitals brings me that precious knowing and this is the energy I am most happy about bringing into the new year!
Never Give Up, Never Give In, Never Stop Trying, Never EVER Give Up!!!!

There is so much truth spoken in this article. Rehab is so very essential after going through a brain injury. It can be the turning point of a recovery, trust me when I say those words. I owe all of my recovery to the rehab I received and remaining active after my brain injury. But I will also add to this that healthy eating and a positive demenor has so much to do also with how you recover.... The foods today are so different from back then... As this articles says you can rewire these brain waves and avoiding those toxic chemicals in foods certainly helps...

Doctors tell surgical patients to get out of bed as soon as possible, but people with brain injuries are encouraged to rest. Now it looks like activity can benefit brain injured patients, too.

Introduction
Hello I am Stephanie M. Freeman and I have created this to let everyone walk with me through my journey I am taking to accomplish my dream of qualifying for the Boston Marathon.

Running is my passion.  When I was 14 years old I experienced a life changing event that nearly took my life.  I suffered a brain & lung injury from a car accident that left me in a coma for two months.  I pulled through this and woke to find i was bound to a  wheelchair and told I would be a handicapped child and never walk again.  For 2 months of my life I prayed for my miracle, and with strength and determination I proved all my doctors & nurses wrong... I walked out of that hospital on October 8, 1993.

When I run now I let this memory drive me harder than ever to be the best person and runner I can be! So therefore I know this goal of mine WILL happen for me and I will make most sure of it!
