As the reality of brain related injuries become more exposed, our mission at Share Your Strong is as important as ever. Everyone, especially our youth deserve the best care and preventative knowledge.
This is an amazing article on the front of The New York Times today...

Wood’s interception of a pass by Chiefs quarterback Len Dawson helped the Packers win the title. In the five decades since, Wood’s and Dawson’s lives have taken divergent paths.

My 2nd group I spoke with today was an even spunkier #Strong #Georgia group... We discussed not only The Power of Never Giving Up in life, but we also shared some secrets of keeping our precious brain healthy with good foods and all kind of activity!
I think I may have recruited me a new running team with this crew:) Watch out y'all! Lol #StrongIsBeautiful #ShareYourStrong #GeorgiaStrong #GeorgiaSchools #BrainHealth #mentalhealth #healthyliving #GeorgiaRunner #ILoveLife #NeverGiveUp #braininjuryadvisorycouncil #dreambig #love

I tell people all the time our life speaks to us in so many ways if we stay present and aware. Today I arrived to speak to these children on The Power of Never Giving Up in life. As I sat up my speech I began talking w one of the teachers & she had so many questions on concussion. Her son has had multiple concussions. She was unaware of some of the information I began talking to her on about Concussion, also known as traumatic brain injury. Talking to her on this was like a ray of light for my life because through it all I've had many ups but twice as many downs but no matter what life always shows me thru people like this my mission is worthy & to stay my course no matter what... And like I tell these kids Never Give Up! #StayStrong #ShareYourStrong #BrainHealth #BrainInjuryAdvisoryCouncil #BIAA #Georgia #GaOWNer #GameChanger #Survivor #NeverGiveUp #Inspire #integrity #love #concussion #ConcussionMovie

No matter what, when I begin asking what the kids wanna be when they grow up it never fails I hear a pro football player.... In fact this small county has produced one or two of those pros, but it looks as if there may be a few more on the rise:) But I assure ya this mama here won't let them get too far without some knowledge of how precious their brain is and how to protect it well...

My Share Your Strong Brain Trauma Organization's mission is to help bring awareness of what can happen to your brain when it's injured. It's been a great day when I can help get some of these points across especially in the minds of our children. This is the moment I ask the kids what their goals in life are to be when they grow up & no matter what I always hear the majority of the little guys in the room say an NFL player. When this comes up I always mention the importance of protecting that beautiful brain... then I mention why, with some of the things I still deal with today from an injury of 23 years ago. Most always children and most people don't realize when they injure their brain it is an injury forever, it isn't something you can fix.
But I always tell these guys being an NFL player is an awesome dream to have and to stay their course with their dreams, but to definitely stay the course with protecting themselves getting there:) #NeverGiveUp #dreambig #love #Inspire #integrity #BrainHealth #mentalhealth #ShareYourStrong #StrongIsBeautiful #Georgia #GeorgiaSchools #ILoveLife #GameChanger #Survivor #braininjuryadvisorycouncil

These kids were mesmerized with my running medals... I do take a whole lot of pride in bringing these as a display to show the kids that anything is possible in life when you set your mind to do something. If this gal here lived 2 months of her life in a coma from a ‪#‎BrainInjury‬ then was never expected to even walk again can set her mind to get out of a wheelchair when every odd is stacked against her, I promise they can do anything they set their minds to. And holding those medals from all over the world can show them that there is a lot of power in Never Giving Up! ‪#‎ShareYourStrong‬ ‪#‎BrainInjuryAdvisoryCouncil‬ ‪#‎Inspire‬ ‪#‎integrity‬ ‪#‎NeverGiveUp‬ ‪#‎GameChanger‬ ‪#‎Georgia‬ ‪#‎GaOWNer‬ ‪#‎believe‬ ‪#‎faith‬

Today Share Your Strong will be speaking the Power of Never Giving Up to Wilcox County Middle School Pass Program. I consider this an honor to do, for one because this is in my hometown and will be among a lot of children of
single parents like myself, and two because a lot of these children could be considered the underdog like myself as well...

It brings a lot of joy and pride to my heart to speak with confidence to kids on this subject that are sitting in situations I have sat in my own life and giving them hope... This will be an exciting event!

In only a few weeks I will be running 26.2 miles through the beautiful Albany ‪#‎Georgia‬ with The Snickers Marathon. I plan to run that race in honor of Brain Injury Awareness. I wrote this article a few months back on the importance of this town to me... So needless to say I will be running with a whole lot of pride that day just as I do every day...

Introduction
Hello I am Stephanie M. Freeman and I have created this to let everyone walk with me through my journey I am taking to accomplish my dream of qualifying for the Boston Marathon.

Running is my passion.  When I was 14 years old I experienced a life changing event that nearly took my life.  I suffered a brain & lung injury from a car accident that left me in a coma for two months.  I pulled through this and woke to find i was bound to a  wheelchair and told I would be a handicapped child and never walk again.  For 2 months of my life I prayed for my miracle, and with strength and determination I proved all my doctors & nurses wrong... I walked out of that hospital on October 8, 1993.

When I run now I let this memory drive me harder than ever to be the best person and runner I can be! So therefore I know this goal of mine WILL happen for me and I will make most sure of it!
