The frontal lobe of our brain is our emotional control center and home to our personality. This area of our brain is extremely vulnerable to injury due to its location and MRI studies show that the frontal area is the most common region of injury... This is one of the most interesting articles I have ran across in a while and an excellent piece of our history also...

This is an excellent article... I will say, most of my life I have repressed emotions and I believe it was only because I have grown up the southern bell and was taught this is how women are supposed to be.  Well the past year or so I have learned quite a few things on repression. And the biggest lesson is, that same emotion you have bottled up will keep reappearing in your life just so you will let it out-let it go... And when you do its like releasing that monkey off your back... So my advice now a days is speak your mind however, and whenever... It will save you a ton of worry and unhappiness:)

Your feelings have important messages for you. Once you stop ignoring them, you can own them, move through them, and feel a sense of ease.

Here's ya some motivation to take ya to and through the weekend... And there is so very much truth spoken in this video! I happen to know of complete and absolute truth that in this life you have to use the pain that's always broken your heart into pieces... Let every bit of anger, regret or any memory of that pain launch and fuel you into greatness!!! Once you do embrace this pain, you discover so much strength you never knew possibly existed... And suddenly you know, these mountains WILL be moved!!! I'm not so sure how everyone else may feel but I know when I check out of this world I will check out on E:)

There is a lots of excitement finally going down my South ‪#‎Georgia‬ way in this non-profit world of mine.. And I'm saying that as I wipe the sweat from my brow. With a honest and humble heart I can say I have survived many difficult areas of life, ran many marathons/races, and lifted 300 lbs even. This goal has been one of the hardest on every level to achieve... But I say with the same honest, humble & PROUD heart I have allowed the same reason that got me through each of those, to get me here! I have remained completely focused on my WHY... And the absolute wisest advice I can hand anyone and know of certain is figure out your WHY and use it productively.... It will never steer you wrong... This I do know:)

I'm throwing it back to 1996 here. To my high school graduation. This is me and my best friend Erin McDuffie Scott. I had my accident in 1993. After 4 months of being hospitalized I couldn't return to school. It took me 6 more months of rehab before the state of GA thought I was capable mentally because of my brain injury of returning to school. When I returned to school I was a year behind my class. I remember working my *ss off and going to summer school to catch up w my friends so i wouldn't be different or look stupid! But I ultimately checked that off my list also. I graduated in 1996!! After living 2 months of my life on life support in 93 & learning to walk, talk, and eat again. I used trying to be normal and be ordinary as an incisive to reach this goal, when the whole time i never actually realized I was friggin extraordinary!!

With every year that goes by I get to know myself even better than I did the last. This year I was honored to give myself the greatest gift... Significance...
I wrote a few words on this gift...
“Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence, and face your future without fear.”

Introduction
Hello I am Stephanie M. Freeman and I have created this to let everyone walk with me through my journey I am taking to accomplish my dream of qualifying for the Boston Marathon.

Running is my passion.  When I was 14 years old I experienced a life changing event that nearly took my life.  I suffered a brain & lung injury from a car accident that left me in a coma for two months.  I pulled through this and woke to find i was bound to a  wheelchair and told I would be a handicapped child and never walk again.  For 2 months of my life I prayed for my miracle, and with strength and determination I proved all my doctors & nurses wrong... I walked out of that hospital on October 8, 1993.

When I run now I let this memory drive me harder than ever to be the best person and runner I can be! So therefore I know this goal of mine WILL happen for me and I will make most sure of it!
Bragging rights
Mother of Preston Range Freeman 7 years old, I have 4 marathons under my belt Jacksonville Bank Marathon 2006 time of 4:14, and The Warner Robins Aviation Marathon 2011 time of 4:01 & then The Jacksonville Bank Marathon 2012 with a time of 3:59
