Nothing like a pint to get you talking about what's really bothering you. Especially to an old war buddy. Jed's having one of those moments. What's a mercenary with an itch for a genetically engeneered cyber-drug got to say? Find out in Page 21 of Utopiates, Tip of the Spear.

“Comics is a stormy, dangerous coastline, shallow and sharp, but UTOPIATES stands like a lighthouse guiding you to the safe harbor where smart, intense comics still exist.”
-Phil Hester

Eckart just can't seem to get a break today.
It must be noted that Josh did extensive research into PTSD and how it affects people, especially soldiers coming home when he wrote this scene. We take this topic seriously. http://utopiatescomic.com/2012/02/u2-p19/

Therapy is a bitch. Especially when your doctor is a creepy face on the screen who just gives you prozac and legal disclaimers. At least Eckart is now out and on the street... that's a good thing, right? http://utopiatescomic.com/2012/01/u2-p18/

A huge THANK YOU to Comics Alliance for reviewing Utopiates on their Best Webcomics Ever of 2/12/12
"I’m not even going to offer commentary on this series; just read the introduction to the work, and if you’re not interested in reading the webcomic immediately, then you and I probably have vastly different tastes. Also, who are you? Why are you here? And why don’t you like awesome things?"

Ever have to deal with an evasive corporate hack? Eckart does, and page 17 of Utopiates brings that conversation to a head. http://utopiatescomic.com/2012/01/u2-p17/ Robots can be fun, but corporate ones are a pain.

Introduction

In the near future…
…science is able to distil human personalities into a drug-form. Called utopiates –a merging of the words utopia and opiate– these drugs allow users to swap personalities with the “mental imprints” of other people. Every user has their own reasons for seeking chemical escape, but all soon learn the cost of soul swapping is extremely high.

Follow the interconnected lives of four individuals addicted to injecting “souls” in the sci-fi series, UTOPIATES Vol.1, now available from 01 Publishing. At its core, this book is an unflinching portrayal of human behavior at its most extreme.
