Wonder how many of these spend most of their time watching cats do stupid things and goats laugh like humans...

A cloud-shaped ice cream... Want.

Swedish design collective Front has designed a cloud-shaped ice cream in collaboration with dessert company Häagen-Dazs:

Been here twice. Selection and standard of food has been good both times. Shame about the service though. Some of the staff members could do with a smiling course.

Any place that offers free hugs is a must-visit. Scandi Kitchen is my go-to place when I need my Scandinavian fix or just want to speak my mother tongue (it often turns into a delightful Norwegian/Swedish mix). The open sandwiches - a trademark of the Nordics - are delicious and the cakes to die for. If you like the fun messages on their chalkboard outside make sure you sign up to their newsletter which is filled with weird and wonderful Scandinavian news. <3

If you're looking to impress a date, this is the place to go for drinks. It offers one of the best views of London.

Great coffee and delicious brunch. What more can you ask for?! Go for the Flat White and cornbread French toast with bacon, rocket and avocado - you won't be disappointed! Although show up early at the weekend because this place gets really busy. Otherwise head to Caravan Kings Cross which seats more people (but there's no cornbread on the menu...).

This used to be my local; it's a lovely place that sells almost 20 types of gin, which makes it a winner in my books. The food is tasty and I've seen a gin sorbet on the menu (which I have yet to try). As it is a bit off the beaten track it's a place to meet the locals. Also worth catching the pub quiz on a Thursday.

Love this place! If you're obsessed with Japanese food you'll love it too. It has a variety of Japanese food to take away (tip: come later in the day to snap up priced down sushi), great Japanese books (if you speak and read Japanese), and lots of other fun things.

Hidden away in the beauty that is Exmouth Market (not the easiest to get to if you don't know where you're going), this restaurant is where I go to get my Italian food fix. Having spent a year living la dolce vita in Italy some years ago, I was delighted to find a place in London where the pizza tastes as good as in its native country and all the staff speak Italian. I was once told they train their pizzaioli in Italy before 'importing' them to work here. If you go here for just one thing, try the Rotolo Rustico (baked cheese goodness!).
