I am giving 3 stars because the service was very good and they "try" to offer Vegan options, however, they fall short. Their idea of offering vegan options is to simply remove ingredients. My meal was tasteless, visually boring, and left me feeling disappointed. If you are a meat and cheese eating person, then this is a decent option for a meal. Italian fare can be a wonderful vegan option..fresh herbs, quality olive oils, and fresh vegetables all pack amazing flavors. My meal did not contain anything that resembled fresh and flavorful ingredients. I hope they take some time to consider offering a truly flavorful vegan option.

I would only go here if someone else was paying. Maybe. Our veggie "spicy" pasta was terribly bland and the noodles I could have sworn I made in college with some dry boxed noodles. I think that the bread is free with your meal simply because it's day-old bread from the bakery next store. The beer and pasta was over-priced and the carpet needed some major help. When we walked up on a Sunday there were several un-cleared tables outside as well. I give every restaurant the benefit of the doubt, but I'm afraid I would keep walking on this one.

Sadly, I chose this restaurant because the reviews are so good. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs and a Caesar salad. My husband ordered linguini with clams. My salad was drowned in dressing-I couldn't eat it. The pasta was cooked well, but the sauce was too garlicky. I'm Italian-American,and I love Italian-American food. I don't get why the garlic had to be so raw and overpowering. i find this is several Italian restaurants--it's hit and miss. The meatball was a good large size, but I couldn't eat it because it was too salty. I scraped as much sauce off as I could and ate the pasta and bread with balsamic and very good olive oil. I wouldn't have eaten the pasta at all,but I was starving from traveling. My husband said the clam and linguini wasn't very good. It was dry. The host was kind and seated us. Server was kind too. I hate giving poor reviews, but I have to be honest. Disappointing, because I loved the ambiance.

One of, if not the, best happy hours in town. The happy hour menu has literally dozens of food and drink options. Beers are inexpensive but I recommend the Whiskey Sagebrush. The service in the bar is great as well. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I have been here a handful of times for different events. This is the last place we ate before my boyfriend and I went long distance, this is where we ate before dropping my baby sister off at college, and this is where we spent New Years Eve (which was amazing!). They are always nice and polite when we are here. It looks fancier than it is but sticking with Portland's attitude nothing is fancy. You can walk in dressed in a suit or jeans and you'll fit right in. I recommend the gnocci as it is homemade and delicious. They have a great happy hour as well for sampling a variety of their menu.

Best Breakfast in Portland...ever! My husband and I were walking near Mother's this morning to see if there was a line, it was insane! There were like 100 people waiting. But what for?! Literally on the same block is an even better place for breakfast, Mama Mia! They not only served us amazing egg scrambles, but also gave us complementary danishes and donuts, probably since there were so few people in the restaurant. The potatoes that came with the eggs were fantastic, and I usually hate breakfast potatoes. Can't wait for another opportunity to eat at Mama Mia again!
