Food was okay - the biryani tasted more like pulav. Service was the main concern - the waiter and the owner have communication problems.

I'm torn: the naan, lassi, and paneer were delicious but the service was not outstanding and the restaurant owner literally scowled at me. There are plenty of other great Indian restaurants with better customer service.

The owner of the shop is really rude. The food is ok. It isn't as good as other local indian places. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are way better places to go for food and atmosphere.

I've been to Qazi's a couple times and always found the food to be fair. Not good, not bad, just okay. My last visit was with coworkers during their lunch buffet. Now, to me a buffet allows you to try foods you wouldn't normally try and indulge on those you enjoy. This sentiment appears to be lost on the owners of Qazi's. My coworkers and I ate about two plates apiece. We ate everything we took, with the exception of food that had been sitting at the buffet too long (too cold) and food that was altogether unappetizing (too bland, etc.). When the bill arrived it had a suspicious $5 open food fee (The lunch buffet itself is $10). When we inquired to the server about the charge he said that "The Kitchen" had deemed we were wasting food and felt the need to charge us. When I asked to speak with someone from the kitchen the server shook his head no with a nervous grin. I explained that this was unacceptable and they will be losing money because any money we would've tipped is out in favor of this charge. He shrugged. So it goes. Meanwhile, we had placed an order to go for a fellow coworker back at the office once we were finished eating. Our order was brought out from the kitchen in a plastic bag and then left to sit on a random table for 5 minutes until one of their workers brought it to us. This isn't service, it's a joke. In total we spent over $40 on lunch and they still felt the need to add a ridiculous $5 fee. If you're going to charge customers for their uneaten food, then why not give it to them to go? They paid for it, but you've destroyed the evidence and replaced it with an arbitrary fee. Buyer beware. There's so much good food in Fremont, why settle?
