USAHEC is closed today due to the weather, but you can still access its digital archives at www.usahec.org

USAHEC will be having its Army Heritage Days this year. The dates are May 17 and 18. Planning and preparations have begun.

On this day in 1776, American forces (Continental Line & Militia regiments) were defeated by the British at the Battle of Long Island, New York.

Tomorrow night beginning at 7:15 at USAHEC, Dr. Conrad Crane will be presenting a lecture on the Korean War. This event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6:30. For additional details, go to www.usahec.org

Today we have worked on several historical Army research requests from the Civil War, to WWI, and WWII.

As part of Shays' Rebellion, on this day in 1787, 2,000 farmers from western Massachusetts attacked the new federal arsenal at Springfield.
