Our favorite restaurant in Denver. Always great food. the combination of spices and perfectly cooked food is the heart of this quaint restaurant. A real alchemist at the bar. Service was prompt and with a smile.

People are drinking too much of the Denver Koolaid. The place is okay at best. Extremely overpriced. Let's put it like this, a normal Cuban restaurant would charge you $10 or less for a traditional ground beef (picadillo), ropa vieja (shredded beef on a tomato sauce), or vaca frita (shredded beef .. kinda grilled), at this place don't expect to pay less than $18 for just one of these plates - and when comparing prices I'm looking at presentation and atmosphere as well. I've tried their picadillo and ropa vieja and although the picadillo tasted good, the ropa vieja lacked seasoning. I guess this is a good place for people who've never tried Cuban food. If you want good Cuban food you might need to travel down to SoFlo.

Loved the food. Everything I had was great. Loved the Paella and the Tres Leches. Would have given it 5 stars if not for a seating mistake made by the receptionist (seating someone who arrived after us, after we have been waiting for a while is annoying). My problem is she didn't apologize, even after it was brought to her attention. Instead of owing up to it she was quickly dismissive (this happened to another couple as well). It can also get pretty loud so if you are looking for a more quiet dinner evening (yes, not all dinner places are loud) this may not be the best choice. However, the rest of the service was excellent and again, so was the food.
